At least we are getting new stuff what about the MIG 29 pilots that are qualified to fly them do you think they are getting more hours then others and also what would you think is the perfect transport plane.

As you know,Mig-29s are not flying since the year 2004. Therefore the Mig-29 pilots are forced to fly on Mig-21s that are still in service. I suppose that they get the same ammount of flying hours as the other Mig-21 pilots, they are not any better then them and plus they do not have their own airplanes to fly with.

Serbia does not need big transport airplanes. An-26s were sufficient for the roles that we had although 2 Il-76s that could be bought or leased would be efficient for use in peacekeeping operations and moving heavy cargo.

True, However waiting to hit the guy with a group of his underlings around him was a class move, most likely took out the guy who would have replaced him in the short term at least. πŸ™‚

If they operate withing many cells, then it is not likely. But who would know.

Now that Serbia doesnt have a navy how many hours do u think the pilots will be getting.

Money from the sale of Navy assets will not go towards the Air Force improvement, that is for sure. There are other problems to be addressed at the present time, like monthly payments to solders, new equimplent etc.

I can’t wait to see this movie.I hope that there will be some really good special effects included and of course an interesting storyline. I wonder what cars they will choose for the Autobots?

Well we hardly have any photos of the command bridge of Delta’s , Akula or Typhoon , expecting of Borei is a long shot , As far as Flat screen and digital goes , we may never get to see any pics of Borei Ops room , But those command bridge of Amur should give you a Fair Idea on the progress Russia has made on digital and integrated CIC .

Can you post some of those Amur command bridge shots? Thanks!

What kind of photos ??? , The photos of Granit is quite rare , compared to those of the others that we see , I doubt they would relase any photos of Improved Granit or what ever it is. It would be nice to know about the specs though from Official sources.

    Yes,that is a shame:(

Also there are no photos yet of the other Borey submarines that are almost complete.I know someone can get shot taking those photos, but its worth the risk:) I wonder how the layout of the command bridge we will be,that is,if they finally removed the analogue instruments and replace them with digital ones and flat screans.

Well I dont understand what the fuss is all about as Improved Granit goes , Even doing something as basic as replacing the early-mid 80’s Electronic and Radars in the Missile with something modern equivalent will help in significant savings in Volume & Weight , which can either be used in Increasing Warhead Wt or Range.

If a comprehensive approach is taken besides what has been mentioned above like making the Ramjet more effecient ( longer burn time ) , Use of Light Composite Materials in certain areas or use of Better Propellent and or Lighter Effecient Warhead , Will give significient better results.

We never know what approach has the Russian chosen for Granit improvenment , unless they would make that public.

As far as Onyx/yakohant goes , India is presently developing a much improved 1000 Km Range of Brahmos called Super Brahmos , Dont see any reasons why the Russians cant do that with its Yakohant if it wants too

    X posting ( Courtesy Talwar {acig} )

Still no photos of the ones nearing completion 😑

nice pictures im wonderind do you think during 2007 that the mig 29s Serbia will be returning into service that the planes might during 2007 parcipate any airshows out of serbia like the Brno airshow in the Czech Republic.

It is more probable that during the year 2007 they will be in Russia for overhaul and come back at the end of that year. There is no point for them to participate at any Air Show, they are ment to protect the Serbian airspace.

Interesting thought, I suppose it’s technically possible with the right kind of interceptor. A mobile GAZELLE maybe?

Considering the fact that Russians have experience in large mobile missile systems,i woult think it is possible.

They’d need a lot more range to be able to get somewhere where that kind of attack would make a difference.

What is the range of these ABM missiles?Maybe they could be used to render the communication with border defences useless.

And did you miss sferrin’s Google Earth geography lesson? Poland is in great position to intercept an Iranian ICBM. It’s not in position to intercept a Russian ICBM, unless they’re firing on, say, Egypt. The interceptors don’t have the range required to reach far enough into Russian territory to reach an ICBM trajectory targeted on the USA. Let me repeat that. The interceptors don’t have the range required to reach far enough into Russian territory to reach an ICBM trajectory targeted on the USA.

Could Russians intercept the US ABM missiles based in Poland ,if they needed to?

Also, what if those US ABMs were armed with 1MT warhead that would detonate over Russia and cause an extensive EMP? πŸ˜‰ Just looking at different possibilities here.
