As i recall, recently an Polish Su-22 pilot made couple of posts on this forum.Maybe he will notice this topic and write something in favour of the Su-22
Photos of Mi-8 and Gazelle taken on May 12th by Sasa Maglov during an military exercise.
Note the GPS navigation in the cockpit of Mi-8 and a “Moma Stanojlovic” emblem on Gazelle’s tail meaning that the respective helicopter has been overhauled at the facility.
Wait guys,is this actually a Lego set or a custom made thing? I mean this thing costs some money you know…
Darn and i was thinking that when i made a submarine out of Legos i accomplished something
In conclusion, lucky kids,if the guy has them:)
Why would Iran want to attack the Netherlands? Who suggested that? I suggest you read what I wrote and see if it sinks in this time.
FORWARD basing missiles in Poland gives you an EARLY shot at Iranian ICBMs So tell me Mr Geography Pro if I want to shoot down Iranian missiles headed for the US where do I want to put my defensive missiles? (I love Google Earth). Oh and to head off the inevitable “Iran doesn’t have any ICBMs” they don’t TODAY. It’s not like those interceptors are going in the ground tomorrow.
So that means the debris falls down on Ukraine:) They really need more radioactive waste
whereas the ability to intercept the odd missile thrown by North Korea is sensible.
Boeing YAL-1A ABL was developed mostly to counter this threat,semi-officially anyways.
Not strictly aviation related but you can see in two of the pictures,Mi-8 helicopters participated as well so i decided to post it.
For non-serbian speakers, this was a military exercise of the students of the Military Academy. It took place on 26th of May this year.
The photos are of a bit weird quality, they seem to be out of focus somehow.
[QUOTE=Austin]Interceptors In Poland Directed Against Key ICBM sites at Arkhangelsk, Ivanovo, Kostroma and Saratov
US Is Proposing European Shield for Iran Missiles
There will definutely be some kind of a responce from Russia.
Good news:) Cant wait to see photos of them during some military exercises!
What is the ceeling made out of?It looks like some kind of polymer (rubber or plastic). However,it is falling off due to humidity most probably.
So in a way the loss of Monte Negro could well improve the overall combat status of the Serbian Air Force because there should be more funding available.
Well Serbia already payed for most of the Army and most of the joined institutions of Serbia and Montenegro. By not having to pay for these, there will be more funds available for other things.
Also not having to pay for maintaining bases and personell at those bases will help as well.
Any news on the restructure of the AF?
The loss of Monte Negro has further reduced the airspace of Serbia and has also taken out the requirement for any naval operations (i.e. Anti-ship and Anti-submarine).
Another interesting point is that the loss of the Navy means more funds will be freed up in the future unless they get diverted into other projects.
There are no news at this time.
The separation of the Montenegro is also freeing us of the burden of operating a Navy (which is more or less non functional) and Naval Air Wing(Ka-25s and Ka-27s have been retired in the year 2000). Also, the airplanes and helicopters presently situated at Podgorica AB will be relocated somewhere else in Serbia (Ladjevci AB most probably) and therefore we would would pay for operating from one base less which is a good thing.
Speaking of the reduced airspace,it is better this way as there is less area to cover.
In Montenegro, there will be no Anti-ship of Anti-submarine force as it will concentrate mostly on patrols and SAR duties.
Nostalgy 🙁
That costs 5.8 million dollars?! Just for some radios and transmitters and screens? You could buy equipment like that at radio shack for probably under a thousand dollars (not the exact same obviously but the same level of technology). Someone is making a killer profit somewhere…
For some reason, our Mig-29’s have always looked uglier to me than some other countries’ Mig-29’s. I can’t figure out why, maybe it’s the paint scheme or maybe they’re just not shined up nice or something.
Our Mig-29s are one of the earliers production Mig-29s.As i said before, they were delivered in 1987 but, they were produced at the beginning of the 1980s and stored in Russia for couple of years before delivered to us.
how many hours do the other An-26 planes have on them.
I think that only the pilots and the people overhauling the airplanes know that info.
These photos were taken in the end of 2005.
You can notice the testing of the R-60 engine and its avionics(domestically manufactured) and the Sa-6 missile radar antenna(from SA-6 i suppose as there are a lot of Sa-6 cones in the background and the size is appropriate to that of an Sa-6 missile).
