It’s actually from French TV, all pics are indeed of Severstal. The ones I posted at subpirates is Dmitri Donskoy, just after her refit (which you can see on her new Towed Array)

Heh,funny cause i have it from German TV station and of course the commentary is in German.

Anyways,in which picture can the towed array be seen?I cant seem to see where it is? Also what is that grey thing on the side, looks new.

When did Dmitry Donskoy get its refit?

    nice info Djink.

Yes,it is very nice that the 63rd Brigade Paratroopers were able to get their last 5 jumps and get the official paratrooper calling! Earlier,An-26s were regularly based at Nis airfield,in order to support that role. Lately, due to the planned upgrade and lack of spare parts, they have been moved to Batajnica AB.

    More Russian Armed Forces news:

$20,5 bln per year. It is quite something, although definutely much less than the US yearly expenditure.

Any ideas what percentage of this would go on PAK FA development?

This means that at least one of the An-26s is flying, probably the one destined to get overhauled along with Mig-29s and hopefully soon!

Engine smoke has been dealt with already, there are quite a few smokeless engines out there today. As for contrails, injecting CFCs or something similar into the exhaust will get rid of those. That was proposed for the B-2 at one point I believe.

But aren’t CFCs banned due to their negative effects on Ozone layer?

    Slovakia has modernised its 10 Mig-29As and 2 Mig-29UBs for $69,6 Million.

    The modernisation included:

    1. IFF BAE Systems AN/APX-113
    2. Rockwell Collins AN/ARC-120 digital radio
    3. Rockwell Collins AN/ARN-147 VOR/ILS receiver
    4. Rockwell Collins AN/ARN-154 digital TACAN receiver
    5. MIL-STD-1553B
    6. Russian Avionics MFI-54 Multi functional colour display
    7. Russian Avionics PUS-29 control panel

That is therfore $5,8 Million per airplane, without new radar, weapons etc.

Therefore i am wondering what the overhaul of Serbian AF Mig-29s will include 😎

ok how do they exactly ship them do they use boat or plane im thinking they are using that company Komas air with the IL-76

I have no idea! They can certanly dissassemble them and transport with Il-76s,which of course faster. The other option is per boat to the Black Sea and then upstream to Russia. We will see what happens.
