Good dates for me would be 3/4 Feb or 17/18 Feb, any preferences from others?.

Yeh, the 4th Feb’ would have been ideal for me as i was planning to be in the Ingatestone area, but know i won’t and not currently planning on heading that way again during that month. 🙁

    Have fun though folks……..

    Ben,

I wouldn’t say its a repeat as such, so no apology required. I guess the guy has a stash of them in varying conditions, but i’m sure Cees will comment in detail as it just looks like a…. er….. seat to me ! 😮

    Ben,

Haven’t added the contents of your container. I’ll let you have the pleasure.

” The Australian Aircraft Consortium designed the Wamira as a basic and advanced trainer in 1983. AAC won the contract but due to delays the Australian Government scrapped the A-10 single seat variant project and chose the PC-9 instead. One airframe was built & flown and is on display at the RAAF Museum, Point Cook, Victoria. The project was resurrected and modified as the tandem 2-seat A-20 version, of which a mock-up forward fuselage was built in collaboration with Westlands, appearing on their stand at Farnboro ’84. With the cancellation of the 70 airframes from the Australian Government, AAC lost at least a further 200 export orders from Great Britain and other potential orders, when the Tucano was selected for the RAF instead. With the closure of Westlands Weston factory during ‘Heseltine-gate’ in 1986, the mock-up never returned to Australia, instead passing through a couple of local ATC units until rescued in 1997″

In summary, it looks like an early Embraer Tucano….

    Hello all,

You may be wondering why Lightning nose XM144 has vanished from ebay with days to go til the finish date ……

    Er no, not really.

The forum has been in turmoil with other more devious eBay activities, but as a former owner of XM144, i wish you well with its restoration Neil. If/when i happen across some old ‘in service’ photo’s i have, i’ll let you know.

    Cheers…..

    😉

    Martin,

I think the issue of the gauge is only half the story, the other half is the use of eBay, and the bidding on an item where the bidder & vendor are the same person. This is known as ‘shill bidding’, and as featured on the Money Program recently on BBC2, it’s taken very seriously by eBay with immediate suspension.

    Hello all and Happy Christmas,

Just picking up on this old thread on Harrier T Birds as my partner, Heather, recently bought this Harrier T4 nose section from ‘IWS’ up near Edinburgh. … now to be known as ‘Heather’s Harrier’.

So, anyone out there got any details of this T Bird other than she came from Roy Jarman to Everett Aero to Ian Sheffield to Heather Graham! ???

Im keen for ANY piece of the jigsaw …. thanks … Fly Safe

Ian had the full history known to date. Did he not provide it at time of sale ?

Spitfire calendar and Spitfire mug (with socks – complete with RAF roundels on them! :D) from mum and stepdad.

Oh yeh, i got that tankard too. The one from M&S ?

Not dishwasher proof though, so i’m debating wether to toast R.J.Mitchell with me Spitfire ale in me Spitfire tankard, while putting me feet up after lunch, dozing off looking at me roundel emblazoned socks. OR… save it all for eBay in 20years time :diablo:

    Happy crimbo 😀

    Consul,

Many thanks for posting that photo of XK421. PM duly sent to scrounge the original (and anymore) please.

Certainly an interesting scheme for an Auster – Martin do you reckon the owner would consider putting it back in that scheme?

    Rob,

Why dont you ask ? But the answer is, no, i will certainly not !! 😮

    It should look like this……..

I’m sure the Argentine military are carefully watching events here and in the middle east.

As the War of the Worlds intro says…. “slowly and surely, they drew their plans against us” 😮
