Just to let you know that have uploaded the film (with the kind permission of the Bellamy family) to Youtube:
Hope everyone finds it of interest.

I can just about turn a computer on, so cheated and had the films converted by someone I know. Will try and find out how they did it. I haven’t a clue! 🙂
The screengrabs were just done by using an old Win7 program that I used to use for Flight Sim images called Snapper. Nothing fancy at all.
And today, have had permission to upload the BoB film by the Bellamy family to Youtube. So will get around to doing that hopefully tomorrow.
Same goes for the screenshots. Posted them together with a lot more light aircraft photos elsewhere, but better to be seen here then gathering dust somewhere. Have full permission to use them and the owner is pleased and surprised that people are getting a lot of pleasure in seeing them. Bringing back memories for people that were associated or have flown the aeroplanes in question. Will try and see if can get permission to upload the BoB film as its purely that and contains no family content unlike the 11 other reels.
VX113/G-ARNO was converted back into a AOP.6 and G-ASZX has the rear glazing, but the larger fin and rudder of the Terrier 1.
Sorry to bring up this thread again, but whilst going through the old films I have, I came across this Spitfire taxiing at Southampton. Typed the reg into Google and ended up here……. 🙂

I’ve gone through the cine film again this afternoon and can’t really add anything else to the story. This one reel only runs for 9 mins and most of that relates to the mass formations in Spain and aircraft landing at Duxford. Here are a few shots of some of the people and the cameras. Lots more film to go through and found more Spitfires and Buchons but not related to the BoB film. Nothing on TV these days, so got plenty to go through and perhaps glean some more interesting screengrabs from the bucket and spade footage.

The Obelisk tower structure seemed to be a marker for the mass formations when filming in Spain.
Many thanks once again and yes should read before I send…..P7913 it is!

Not Bodmin. We have had Rapides in before. Biggest types have included a Devon and a Twin Otter. Having flown into the Scilly Isles on a number of occasions will go for that.

Mark and Beermat,
Many thanks for your replies with this query. As to the link between P8088 and 43 Group is a little tenuous, we are now looking at Spitfires based at the client’s hometown, his initials and its intended home. Not really what I work towards, but in this instance, the customer is always right!

All but one (the dummy pilot on the wing is at Bovingdon), the rest are taken at Duxford. When the camera pans around, its weird not to see the M11….

The last from this reel. Onto the next one. Not sure what will find on that…..

The landing Spitfires, Heinkel and Buchons are all at Duxford. See you have found my Flickr albums! 😉

Suppose should have put a copyright mark on each one, but least we will know where we saw them the first time. Will look into doing that with future screenshots.
I do believe that is Bovington. Here are a few more, hopefully from the same location. And yes, the cameraman had something to do with the film as was one of the Spitfire pilots.
