Just to let you know that the Duet has gone to two new owners at Eggesford in Devon.
Saw it yesterday and had the problem of how to get in. I know I fit in a Streak Shadow and the Pietenpol, but I’ll know I WILL fit in…..somehow.

Umm suppose I’ll have to and get a few of those to add to my ‘stock’. If you autograph one for me, will it got up in value? 🙂
Cant stop buying kits…..last week added yet another Airfix T-6G (the old Heller one) to my collection and a Academy T-6G on Friday. Already got lots of them already and now I hear Revell are releasing a new 1/72 Harvard Mk.IV next month.
Need to make some more room in the house…..perhaps dispose of my TSR2s to make room!!

You’ve got a very enthusiastic young man helping you now. We need a lot more people like him to help keep the vintage aeroplane movement going.
Well done!!
We’ll try to keep him involved with all things ‘Auster’ when he comes down to Devon next month!!
Best wishes to all,
Martin
The French Connection
Here are a few French Air Force types…one of which I am lucky enough to fly in, in real life.

Well a week has now passed and he’s still talking about it. No matter who goes into his house, its the full story from start to finish!!
Shame that I couldn’t be there with him, but the main thing is that he got there. I would like to thank his pilot Richard Webber for flying him there and back (and for changing aeroplanes from the 6 to a 9 when my Dad couldnt get in the former) and to Nigel Skinner for all the necessary paperwork and organisation.
Thanks also go to Robin and Marie Reynolds for a wonderful barbeque in the evening. Much appreciated and a lovely ending to a wonderful and for my Dad unforgettable day.

Almost a Warbird
I’m not one for flying jets, but have had a bit of fun recently with these Spanish jets. Dont think I’ll have a DA after this little performance over St Mawgan!!

For lovers of twin engined Grumman built fighters
This is the newly re-released as freeware Alphasim F7F Tigercat. One of the nicest aeroplanes I have ever had the chance to fly on the sim. Should have bought it when it first came out. Oh well……..
Best wishes,
Martin

Is this Redhill?
Went for a cross country from Shoreham to my home town at Redhill and came across this rather large airfield. Popped in for a cup of tea and it took ages for me to leave.
Now not being into this type of flying, as there are two runways at Gatwick, is there only one in use at all times?

Here’s a few taken recently of the latest types to come out of Japan, courtesy of Kazunori Ito. He has to be the most prolific FS2004 builder there is, with something being produced virtually (sic) every week.

Never rely on long range weather forecasts…..or 24 hour ones for that matter, as they always seem to get it wrong. Look, what I’ve had to endure over the last week or so in the ‘My Dad’ thread. I checked every available weather site and tv based forecasting thingie there is and it was still wrong on the day.
