    RE: What to expect

    well i have flown

    LAX – SYD
    SYD – LAX
SYD – Brisbane (cant remember code!)
    SYD – CHC
    CHC – SYD
    SYD – LAX

all on qantas, not all on the same trip obviously, using BA/Qantas Business Round T World fare of about £2500 which is utterly brilliant value.

I have to say that BA business beats Qantas business hands down. I recently did LHR – SYD in Business on BA and would never have done it in economy, and would specify a BA flight. However saying that if it isnt full on Qantas and u dont have anyone besides u its superb, crew are excellent i have always found (on both). The best flight was ironically SYD – LAX previous time, as it was empty as hell, and quiet and had loads of sleep. u are a bit close together in qantas business and def get an aisle seat. def.

    anyway enjoy!

RE: Qantas SYD – LAX Excitement. Recommended!!!!

I know Its the most ridiculous thing i have heard to, although i had to believe it as i was on board.

If anyone works for Qantas, it was QF 107 17th Feb 2002, Sydney to LAX
1125 depart from gate 25 and i was in 2K to clarify i was there.

also, im sorry ive completely forgotten the ‘person’ who has decided that this isnt true, such an impact there, but on a web chat to that person on airport on the bbc site maybe AHA, here we are ‘John Cull’

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/airport/transcripts/questions/transcriptq1.shtml

A 1: what is the longest flight you have been on?

John Cull: We operated the maiden flight of our 7-400 series from Heathrow direct to Sydney non-stop. It was the first time it had ever occurred and it hasn’t been done since. It took about eighteen hours, and to achieve maximum uplift of fuel we had to tow the aircraft to the end of the runway and start the enginges at the end of the runway.

slightly different, but its qantas! and i remember the captain saying about how much the maximum takeoff weight was and they reached this to within xxx.

actually the person before says ‘It is not acceptable to refuel with Pax onboard and would never ever happen least of all from QANTAS’
perhaps we have found our rep from Qantas???!!!

    RE: 1st

Well I didnt actually say that the cost bothered me, I merely said that having been in BA Business x number of times, and first aswell I simply dont think that 1st is worth MY cash.

    hope thats ok with u.

    RE: Worst In-Flight Entertainment?

BA dont give them away for free. They were collected up!

Although I did get 3 overnight bag thingy’s as 2 different young ladies presented me with one each, and then another one gave me a third.

yes but when you are a place like Sydney, BA livery looks the best compared with United or AA. They def stand out.
