just thought i’d end it with a BANG!!!!!!!
just thought i’d end it with a BANG!!!!!!!
Well here it is my most disliked i cannot say hated because if it flies its beautiful (well except wasps)but the sc-7 shorts skyvan gets my vote as if it had a coat of white paint, it would be buzzing around the sky, cutting every one up and thinking it can fly better than any one else in the air.
pheww ,there done it, thank god for janes…………..
maybe thats why NASA named theirs the “ugly hooker” (i kid you not,) personally i like the good old “skybin”, or as i once heard it called “the shamrock s***house”
i don’t think i have a least fave aircraft but the one that brings back not nice memories is the pitts special, not for what you mignt think though, i was working on one and we were removing the fuel tank and i got drenched in avgas, not only is it very cold but tends to make certain parts rather “uncomfortable 😮 ) god that did sting!!!.

when i read about Steves passing on here, had just heard about my nan passing away and had just had my ex on the phone hurling verbal abuse and death threats at me and Rita, all within a couple of hours, things kinda got to me and i sort of threw a wobbler,

thanks for the info DGH, i had heard that 896 was at Brieghton, looks like i will have a bit further to travel to re-aquaint myself with her. shame about 638 though, thats three aircraft i have flown in that have come to grief. one permenantly, that being Viscount G-BMAT the other is rapide G-AGTM now restored and flying with air atlantic so i belive.
cheers.
Greg
i’m going to try and get to next years cockpitfest, i have missed every one so far because of work and other commitments, but next year, i’ll be there for definite.
Greg
thanks for sharing those pics, great stuff.
Greg
the ones i flew in are WP920, WP896, WK638, the other that i flew in at RAF Kinloss unfortunatly i do not have the serial for, my original 3822 got soaked whilst on a survival course and that is the only one i couldn’t read or trace,
