😀 Sheldon – The Big Bang Theory… 😀
Florida to the Caribbean in the Sunderland would be fantastic! Agreed! Count me in… 😀
😀
I can,t understand why they stopped what was a very very popular show ,it was always packed to the limits, they could have doubled the entrance fee and it would still have been packed ,i suspect it was due to some of the upmarket locals complaining about the local traffic and noise from the show ,a lot of people enjoyed the Biggin Air Show ,sadly missed !!!
I agree the Air Fair was very popular and has kept Biggin Hill on the map with people from across the globe travelling to see it. It was very well organised by a very experienced team for many years. It was getting in the way of business so the company that runs the airport stopped it. Personally I feel the Air Fair has helped make Biggin Hill what it is today, or it may have been just another former RAF base asigned to history books.
The team lead by Joe at BHHH are very good and any airshow they organise is a step in the right direction. 🙂
Great photos Bob, thanks for sharing. 🙂
Great news the snow is melting away (not meaning to speak too soon). 😉
I saw the report on the news, and can’t help but feel that pilot Pete Barnes (who was very experienced) is not here to defend himself when the client supposedly suggested ‘not to take off’. How can someone suggest not to take off, surely cancelling and rescheduling the flight was an option, not just suggesting. We only hear one side of the story.
I was standing on the beach with my nieces. As the Vulcan approached from our right, low over the sea, amazing sight. One of the highlights of 2012 for me. 😀
Vampires, Venom and Mosquito would be a dream formation for us to see in the UK. Maybe one day in the not too distant future? 😉
Beautiful shots, thanks for sharing. 🙂
Especially Fifi. 🙂
Cool photos Roobarb, thanks for sharing. 🙂
The snow helps lighten the shots. No covers on the aircraft at all 😮
I hate garlic so I can relate. :diablo:

After reading the article I see what you mean. After years of service he gets treated like that! They should pay his family compensation for all the stress and financial problems caused as a result!

That’s a very good price! Hopefully someone will buy and keep the aircraft in Australia Phil.
Thanks for posting the video link Mike. Beautiful aircraft and sound! 🙂
Here is a shot taken in 2010 from the other side showing the other remaining engine on WR985.
