I agree with most of the above. Spitfire, B-1, Connie, Vulcan etc.

    But…
my vote goes to the F-15e or
    historical the Mosquito and C-47/DC-3…

Nice tight framing and angles and good weather for the time of year too.

I can understand the need for housing but every time it seems it is the airfield that gets built on first. What use is a golf course? I think it is a waste of land so build on that. So much land around that area as Welwyn Garden City grows no need for Panshanger to pay the price.

The money to import, restore, fuel costs etc is often a factor in keeping historic aircraft flying, as well as other factors. It depends, I have put a lot of time, energy and money into lets say ‘projects’ and sometimes ask myself ‘was it all worth it?’. Some say that ‘you get out what you put in’ but whichever the case hopefully you had some enjoyment being involved and hopefully the owners have also. At the very least hopefully they are being looked after in a museum where people can go and view them, and you can say with pride that you helped in restoring the aircraft.

Not as wonderful as seeing them fly but much better than a scrap yard.

WOW! Beautiful shots Neil, thanks for sharing. Beautiful colours with the red on blue sky. Really miss the Harrier, retired too soon.

Great shots, lots of colour, well captured and good framing. Love the classic cars. Is that E.T. on that bike or are they just a gang of hoodies? :).

    Excellent shots, thanks for sharing!

i think the most popular are Flickr and Picasa. Both have free or pay options depending on what you require. If I remember correctly Flickr allows up to 300Mb max upload space per month on a free account. Which if you save 1Mb size versions of each image means lots of images can be uploaded monthly. 1Mb is a good size for online viewing without losing much quality.

You can upload 2 videos per month too.
