Lauren Richardson – Pitts S-1S

I posted Lauren’s promo video at the top of page two of this thread and posted a video of the winter strip when the smoke system was installed on page one.

After receiving the permit to test the new smoke system in ‘KDR, Lauren took the Pitts up to try out the system in all the various attitude and loading possibilities

G-BKDR was originally built in 1982, but the paint scheme only dates back to her rebuild in 1999.

G-PIII (formerly G-BETI)

The team’s aircraft are powered by Avco Lycoming IO-360 engines generating 180HP, powering a fixed pitch metal propeller. This gives them a top speed of 200mph, and with a max weight of only 522 kilograms. This power to weight ratio allows fantastic aerobatic performance and an astonishing climb performance of over 2500 feet per minute.

The Skybolt 300 is a modern biplane design similar to the Pitts Special but is larger and more powerful. The Skybolt has a wing span 24 feet and is powered by a modified Lycoming engine producing over 300 horsepower.
