Some background on Dave Phillips…

Dave is an Auckland based pilot flying Boeing 777’s for Cathay Pacific airlines. Ex RNZAF, he flew Skyhawks, but learned to fly in his fathers Tiger Moth. His father was a Tiger Moth topdressing pilot. He has a private strip in Clevedon, Auckland, and owns the Tiger Moth and a Hawker Hunter. He was also the test pilot in Mosquito KA114.

I haven’t been in the American Air Museum for about 13 years, but last time I was at Duxford was last September and I did take a walk over to the F-15 near the building after walking along the flight line. I can’t remember everything that was inside and not sure what might have changed over the years since I last went inside. I feel more at home in the hangars but I must have a look in the AAM next time I get chance. Do they have an F-14?
