RE: funny stuff from SAS!
I think Qantas has windows in toilet also.
It is being told that passengers pull down the ´curtain´ so that no one could…
RE: Avro Shutdown!
It will be interesting to see what happens with the Embraer, Bombardier and Dornier, will they find enough customers for their 80 seat regional jets.
What about the Starliner (or what it was…?), does anyone knows how things are going there?
RE: Regional Airliners
Perhaps the Q8-400 is less noisy than older Dash models. Saab 2000 is good plane, it can fly at FL30 (as well as Do 328)
RE: Airbus
I have heard that Airbus may not be affected by the US attacks as Boeing because Airbus has operations in several countries but Boeing has just couple of larger units.
RE: Overreaction regarding safety measures?
Yea, interesting indeed. Again we see the name of bin Laden.
What comes to these safety measures, I think, as time goes by, we will see more rational measures to increace airline safety. Other than a gun in cockpit…
RE: Radios
I have Maycom AR-108. It is good radio (or receiver actually) if you are close to airport. It is also quite cheap.
RE: B 747 SP
LAST EDITED ON 03-09-01 AT 04:32 PM (GMT)[p]The 747SP would be nice personal jet (this is if we forget the thing called money!). Are these planes in bizjet config. flying somewhere?
RE: Do you have more info about St Helena Airways?
I have read they are going to use two BBJ aircraft in two class configuration (???).
RE: Dissapearing DC 10
I think (and hope) that DC 10 will have a very succesful times ahead as a cargo hauler. If they are kept in good condition we’ll see them FLYING many years to come.
RE: Good topic for a poll
BA/AA, to be or not to be…
RE: Spanair’s callsign
According to the Airliner World’s airline guide it is spanair.
RE: 4×4 ON THE BBC
Is there any satellite TV channel that broadcasts only (or most of their time) aviation programmes?
RE: a meeting?
It would be nice to see people face to face. I hope this idea doesn’t go away.
RE: Boeing 747-436 – What does the 36 stand for?
It is explained in the lates issue of Airliner world. It is a sort of customer code.
RE: scandinavian airlines
I think SAS should not become too big in order to give passengers possibility to have choises. If SAS were to merge with Finnair that would not be good thing. Maybe the Eu might have something to say.
