Rumors have it ??????
Tom who??????? Do you mean Cruise 😉
From what I can see nothing is saying its a remake of the 1969 film but a film based around the Battle. Surley there is scope for some great stories to be told rather than a rehash of a classic. Just hope the CGI is done discretly and real A/C are used as well. Lets not dismiss it and rip it to shreads before its made, or is that to much to ask. Any film featuring Aeroplane these days has got to be good news.

Don’t tell Geoffrey Wellum, he thinks he is still alive
As do quite a few others.
Surely this thread is about the last POLISH B o B veteran.
Just what I was thinking! maybe the thread title should be amended;)

Excellent news:):) A shame Uncle David wont be here to see it:(
Thanks Graham, I will contact Richard and find out where it is. Good luck with the Gun bus, it could do with some TLC.
Firebex, sounds like you had some of the “Wings” BBC TV series replica’s there as well.[
Hi graham.
This is indeed the “Fun Bus” that was at Sywell It was built for the film “Gun Bus” as a ground taxiable replica. It was made to resemble the flying A/C used for the film that ws infact the DH2 replica modified to lookk like a Gunbus.
Can you please PM me as I was unaware this had been sold since it was on Display at Conningsby, where that pic was taken. The Lewis Gun on the A/C in that pic is mine and was on loan to the guys at Conningsby as a favour. Richard, the guy you brought it from, phoned me several times trying to buy it and I told him I wanted it back. If it is still on the A/C can you please arrange to have it returned.
Thanks.
The restauration and paintjob was not done at the MeierMotors shop. The bipe was restored by the former owner over several years. Now the new owner will decide further steps 😉
Good news, It deserves better:) If you need any help, we have a little bit of experience with Tiger Moths;)
Sorry to strike a grumpy note, but that the paint job on that Tiger is, what’s the word now… horrible.
I know G-ANMV of old, when it was based at Booker with Tigerfly, and it used to look very authentic, in correct colours. This new paint scheme seems very odd, and the colours in the roundel are more like those seen in WW1.
It was a sad day when she crunched, whilst in the hands of Mark Walden ( not his fault ) The engine stopped in a stall turn just north of Henley on Thames, and the subsequent arrival in a field was rather on the firm side.
On reflection, the colours look quite different in the various photos ( in hangar, outside) , so perhaps the digital colour balance is making it look worse than it is.
Im affraid I have to agree, the cockpit green looks a litte strange, and as for the green instrument panels!!!!!!!!!!!
I does amaze me that in these days of the internet that people almost expect to have access to everything and have pictures and information of what is essentialy a private individuals property.
I have to admit however to hoping that this one is seen out and about, it is such a rare and iconic Aeroplane. But hay ho it is down to the owner, just pleased to know that it still exists and has been lovingly restored.
To be honests Ollie, if its gona be hung up in a shoping mall then info you can get from Pics off the net are going to be quite good enough for a Facimile that will look the part. As long as you have the diameter you should be able to work the rest out. Best off luck.
So didnt notice that the airspeed was not building on take off:confused:
