I can post pics on a daily basis. So far I saw Italian, US, British, Belgian, Dutch and Canadian C-130’s. And UK and US C-17 + German and French C-160’s. Don’t forget the Norvegian and Dutch F-16’s and Italian + US Chinooks.

    Greetz again,

    Dimitri

Not an easy yask. Can we split up squadrons?

“Yep, that should be the Laage Phantoms. I’m not sure how Denmark (F-16), Poland (will be the ex-German MiG-29s at Malbork) and the NATO detachment at Siauliai/Zokniai in Lithouania will fit in, but the Spooks won’t be alone.”

I suppose you mean the Norwegian Det. The Danes took over from the Belgians begin july. But it should be nice to see some Phantoms in action again (even if they only patrol the skies). Should make nice pics… BTW: was stationed in Siauliai/Zokniai last year with the Belgian Det. Will try to shrink some pics to post them here.

“So which ‘vessel’ does a P-3 Orion of VP-8 operate from ???”

Don’t no… Guess it trades back to their history when they were embarked on an aircraft carrier.

Says the man who never was in a situation like this… So: NO, it does NOT support that theory. Maybe the engine stopped. Maybe hydraulics failed. Maybe all the power was lost. Maybe the pilot wanted to take some fresh air. Maybe… Maybe… Maybe…
Maybe we should try to find an interview with the actual pilot and hear his version of the facts.

I mean: I believe there is a site where you can find aerial pictures of BDA (battle damage assessment), pre- and post-strike pics of airfields and battlefields. An RAF-site perhaps??? Any more info on that?

    Did I wrote that
    I did not
    so
I could not be responsible for it 🙂
ah Yes, if that were trye during the war this will be exelent propaanda material as downed f117 were, isn’t it?
but as I see TJ and dimitri still is flamable as gasoline

Well, yes, I’m guilty… Again… I don’t believe TJ mentioned you as the author of the crap on the url’s you posted. I still cannot understand that people believe this stuff as even the owners of these sites can’t prove anything apart from some official and unofficial “quotes” (you have to admit: even the “official NATO-losses” are not backed up by a scanned copy of the original document). Now, I don’t say that NATO never overclaimed their victories, but what I see and read on these sites/url’s is too funny to be true (which I do not mind cause I love to laugh too). So, if these were jokes: good find. If not: sad, very sad. 😉

Would you all please get back to the thread and leave them in their own magnificent and honnest world full of fairytales and make-believes… They will not/never admit anything, we will not/never agree with them… And now : back to the thread !!!

Please disregard the above-mentioned. I will not use politics and misunderstandings between nations again in this forum. I know we have a freedom of speech, but discussions like this do not belong here. It should be about airplanes…

Al Qaeda attacked the US. They were harbored by the Taliban. We attacked them both in response.

And paid by some Saudi’s. So why not bomb them? Or other financers…

Iraq is a different issue and not what I was referring to in response to Barnowl. Regardless, they broke the 1991 cease-fire. We attacked. Legally. Live with it.

Of course. That is a good reason. Only nobody understood why…

If you think it was about oil, prove it. If you can prove every bit of evidence regarding Iraq’s WMD was fabricated, go for it.

Well, for example: Belgium and France were against the war because they had many interests in the oil-industry via Petrofina. They wouldn’t have a reason to be against it otherwise. See, I can admit that there is a certain oil-interest from our side. Why would they secure the oil-raffineries from day one with special forces? Okay, I guess the answer will be: ecology. My mistake, sorry.

My point too… If anyone can give a reasonable explanation to this… Most welcome.
