Would a Twin Spitfire not be called a Twitfire?

I take your point about the Shackleton having space to run and taxi, but it would be great if you could come to some arrangement with MAM so that visitors could see it (and contribute financially to its maintenance) when visiting the air museum? Could you do some sort of deal when you are running it so you could visit both things?!? Just a thought….

I thoroughly agree with the earlier poster- couldn’t some deal be done with Midland Air Museum? Thoroughly decent bunch of people I thought, when I have visited with my 8 year old son! Have great cockpit access too.

Would they have room for a Nimrod/Shackleton?!?! Again seems daft having two unrelated heritage attractions right next to each other?!?

Does anyone know what the story with 603 is? Has it been scrapped yet?

PSB are a fantastic band. The War Room
EP has Spitfire and London Can Take it on- worth getting! Also one called Protect and Survive!

Wouldn’t closing the through road seriously affect access to MAM?
    Also where’s the Shack/Nimrod going?

Would the Shack and DC6 not just very neatly go to MAM? Seems neat to me?!?

Do Airbase do regular classic flights/engine runs/taxis? If so this isn’t clear from the website.

My first post and it’s drivel…
What I meant to say is having been to Midland Air museum on an open cockpit day recently, and compared it’s price and facilities to Airbase, for a family day out MAM is IMHO better. It does seen odd having 2 quite specialist attractions within 1/2 a mile of each other! Particularly as MAM has lots of stuff you can “go in”, although I understand none of it “works” like it does at Airbase.
