    Yes thats right , there is normally a red triangle shape in that area and it was missing from this flight , under the red fairing is a small rectangle with a circle in the center and it looks very shiny in comparison to the rest of the body.

    It’s a reflection from the test camera under the belly of IPA1

    Thanks , looking at the other pics there is something that looks reflective in that exact spot.

    Red one was xx242 @ Farnborough , though I wouldnt know if they rotate at all . Have you tried posing the question to them on the website ?

    There is a Sopwith replica (n 5177) residing in a front garden about a mile from me.
