Oooops.
Interesting competition law: if 2 parties engage in anti-competitive behaviour, the party which blows the whistle first gains immunity.
Summary: Virgin got shafted?
(no pun intended) 😀
It is an interesting issue the crops up time and time again
Interesting? Sounds rather alarming to me!
Are there no safety implications of this kind of incident?
Were they trying to board a Scairbus?
😀
Sorry, couldn’t resist that one…
Fokker 50 – maritime patrol IIRC (RSAF)
Boeing 757 transport (RNZAF)
Dash-8-100 E-9A (USAF)
I suppose the aircraft used for the controversial “extraordinary rendition flights” would not be included?
Active:
Mitsubishi F-2
Rafale
B-1B
Retired:
F-14D
SR-71
Protoype:
F-16XL
YF-23
My favourite Mig-19 variant is the Q-5/A-5 Fantan 😀
What are the RAF’s RoE in these scenarios?
If a Tu-160 turned towards the UK mainland and accelerated away from any escorts, apart from being provocative & probably an unwise course of action, are RAF Tornados authorised to use lethal force if UK airspace is penetrated?
Are the intercepts made with fully armed fighters?
Blimey! Is this Russian UAC bid really going to go forward?
I’ve always liked the Il-96 on aesthetic grounds and I find the virtual Airbus/Boeing duopoly of medium/long-haul jets increasingly boring.
I think it would be good for competition for the UAC Il-96 chaps to join the KC-X party :diablo:
It would be worth it just to irk US protectionists 😀
Surely there must be some mistake here?
Surely you mean Geese strikes?
😀
As far as new aircraft go, I’d agree with proponents of the JF-17 as an affordable Chinese export fighter.
Not sure what Sino-Serbian relations are like these days…..
It would be even more interesting to see a UK equivalent…
The circles would be drawn with dotted lines….. 🙂
I think those trees on top of that hill beneath the approach could do with a trim….
😀
Like DJ, I was thinking of China PRC:
Su-30MK
Su-27SK
J-11B
J-10A (J-10B)
J-8IID/-8IIF
J-8E
J-7E/-7G
JH-7A
Q-5II

Cooool!
I await the stretched, 4-engined version with great interest:D
😉
Seems fair enough to me. It must cost more to transport a “fat” person than a slim one (fuel costs).
It is not much fun sitting next to obese passengers, especially when their adipose tissue flops into their neighbours’ seats.
Not fun at all.
