Unless I start being optimistic, I shall be gone in a couple of years……how can one get optimistic about that?? The difference between normal and pessimistic is indeed very large.

I hope they don’t plonk it in front of the aircraft or it makes silly noises
That’s no way to talk about TFC engineers 😀
Thanks JDK, we didn’t have any problems with the IT side of what we want to do and still don’t, it’s purely a matter of finding a donor of equipment and associated support time. Always a problem, always will be…. unfortunately. I found that people came forward with the best of intentions but lost interest in the detail.
This was considered a number of years ago by Friends of TFC, a kind donor was willing to donate the screens and technology, however on further research the technology available would not support what we wanted to do.
Time and IT has progressed, so if someone is willing to donate the necessary time and equipment, let’s talk!!

Anybody else from the early days at East Fortune still take an interest in Historic Aviation and lurk here as well? Malcolm G, Kevin F, Alasdair McR?grow45 [/B]
Can’t remember the names of anyone involved, but I worked on restoring an Auster for a number of years at east Fortune, probably around 1979/80 ish.
Anyone know which B-25 will be appearing??
The Mosquito is still in the country but now in different ownership.
Who owns it now??
I believe it’s for a helicopter industry thing, just like the previous helicopter thingy last year.
It kept within the display lines better than some of the fighters based at DX……..suprisingly tight turning circle. Very impressive.
😀
Looks like we may have a secret weapon in Digby to deal with a certain Australian ‘lady’.
Looking at some of Digby’s previous posts he sounds just the man to ‘charm’ her with subtle sweet nothings. 😀 😀
Could we also ban aerobics at Duxford, very dangerous. I think that was what Ted Inman meant. I certainly haven’t seen anyone on the live side at DX participating in aerobics since Ted’s statement. It is also part of standing orders now …no aerobics near the crowd line.
Similar all visiting aircraft, any sign of aerobics and your leotard will be confiscated.
Any further debate on this will definately be fruitless.:o
didnt i see you at raydon a few years back in a T-6
bentwingbomber, yes, that’s going back a few years, not long after the Harvard was completed, one of its rare outings 🙂
Digby, to put it in perspective, an engineer at DX once said, if flying was difficult they would get the engineers to do it!!:D
bentwing bomber… I get enough stick time on this forum by the looks of it and my flight suit has no pads of any sort.
BTW you can often see Howard throwing the Chippie about at DX most Sunday mornings, obviously has sights on the Huri. A recent article about him recently confirmed this.
