    WGHB

    Hi Alex,

The offer is still open for you to pop over and take a look. Please drop me a PM and we’ll arrange.

As for finished scheme. Let us get anywhere close to that stage before asking! While I love the old polished metal look, her storage under a layer of dust over the past thirty or so years will preclude anything other than a painted finish.

    WGHB

    Hi Alex and all,

WGHB is curently sitting under covers in the back of out hangar, along with a large stock “new” ex RCAF T-bird spares (control surfaces, hydraulics, canopy, inverters, landing gear, speed brakes, wing leading edges etc, etc, etc). She’s had a little work done – the intakes have been cleaned, treated and painted and we’re half way through doing the engine bay. She’s a good, sound, low-houred, but previously neglected airframe. No real problems to overcome, other than a lack of time.

While it would be great to be doing more work on her, the PT-19 has been taking all our spare time, although that’s now at the stage that we can take a step back and enjoy the efforts that have gone into this.

Ben, hate to be devil’s advocate, but

did you ask PW before breaking this nugget of news?

You may well have done, and I don’t wish to spoil the fun, but this is PW’s private business.

    Cosford’s Argosy

I popped in to Cosford on the way across to Wales a couple of weeks ago and was surprised to see an Argosy parked out by the gliding club, some distance from the museum. Is this part of the RAFM collection? Certainly hope it’s moved under cover sometime soon.

    Bristol Hercules, perhaps.

The Mercury’s somewhat bigger brother. A fair number of the late marque versions still kicking around.

Who’s worried?! Nurse, nurse, bring me my valium!

Anyway, pleased to hear you enjoyed your trip with Dale. On a serious note, Anglia Flight is an excellent place to learn if you decide to take it that far, so best of luck.

the ex. has now been an ex for over a year. The one who flies at AF is still very much current and will be for a llllloooooonnnnngggg time if I have anything to do with it.

Think an electrician had better be called here, as wires are definately crossed!

    Mel,

As I said, I’m happy for you to go take a look at the T-6 and will arrange it with the guys doing the work to show you around. I won’t be there though as I don’t have the time, especially now I’ve won a little bit of an ongoing battle with my ex. and am again allowed to see my son. Anyway, you’re more than welcome to go take a look at the six. Let me know when and I’ll let Ade and the crew know to expect you.

    RPM Gauge

Off the top of my head, I think the RPM gauge is a 6A/1559. Or perhaps it’s a 6A/1595, or a 6A/1955 or ………….

    Close………

    Hi Ben,

You’ve goy G-CCOY, the T-6D with you. WGHB is the T-33, the ex. Ormonde HB T-33. We’ve got that here on strip-down.

Alexis, HB is moving down to a location near Ipswich. You’re at Bury if I remember correctly, just down he A14? Life’s rather hectic at the moment on non-aviation business, but give me a call and we’ll try and hook up.
