:p especially with Russian AF not buying it, I don’t think it should succeed.

However, Pogosyan downplayed the quality of the Chinese effort, saying a copy of a copy would not be a good aircraft.

“If we speak about the copy of the airplanes, I think that in this case, the original will always be better than a slightly modified copy,” he said. “The original made by the designer who developed the product is always better, and it is a better start for a new program with the original designer and developer than making a fake copy.”

Copy of a copy? What was that?

fake copy? Whats a original copy?

    Accorging to this user

The Sukhoi-30 (he means 35) fighter aircraft looks faster than the Raptor according to the film data, but what about stealth capabilities? The Su-35 specs can be found in the video and its a Knnapo presentation.

Indigenous MFDs for Indian Air Force SU-30 MKI’s

    http://frontierindia.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/samtel-dare-su-30mki-mfd-281x300.jpg

Prior to flying, extensive ground tests were undertaken at Su-30 integration rig. The tests were conducted during both daylight hours and in the night to evaluate the display characteristics of the MFD under varying light conditions. Four test sorties were undertaken at an altitude of approx. 40,000 ft with the indigenous MFD for its evaluation, and no failure of MFD’s was observed.

Samtel Display Systems has a JV with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) to produce indigenous next-generation MFDs, HUDs (Head Up Displays) and HMD (Helmet Mounted Displays) for HAL’s star programs like IJT, LCA and SU-30 MKI. Along with this, Samtel has recently entered a JV with Thales to work towards the local development, production, sale and maintenance of Helmets Mounted Sight & Display (HMSD) and other Avionics Systems destined for the Indian market.

Russians don’t claim to have seen the Hangar Queen. You can hire scientists, Israelis or Ukrainians or Russians. Proves nothing. Hebrew writings and Israeli Scientists… means nothing.

did you even see who the author is ? he’s a retired Air Marshal of the IAF..I’m quite sure I’d trust him more and to suggest that just because the article is present on BR, it somehow must be inaccurate or tinted by nationalistic fervour, is nonsense.

They wouldn’t publish an adverse report. It has to be all pro news. The whole website is a farce. The persons credibility has come down. If this person was so good, why is his article on fan boy site? Why not some credible sources?

As per the Rajkumars book on Tejas ,IAF wanted aircraft were much similar to the current Mig-21 using similar technology even first Air staff Target (AST) issued then by the headquaters was missing FCS,Glass cockpit,Composite airframe,Multi funtion displays ,local MMR and Engine ,other two firms other then bae and dassult were MBB and Dornier of germany ,Dassault walked out of the program when American quadruplex was selected over the french FCS which was developed for Rafale with Analogue channel as a backup

This is what I call credible source. Thank You.

As if US did not give to Chinese. Blackhawks, Operation Peace pearl etc. Why blame Israel if they hypothically have given the design to Chinese? US even gave Chinese MFN status.

Since that reply did not tell us that J-10 is Lavi design, what can be said?

Summer in Korea is hot & very humid. Seoul has a similar climate to Tokyo, which is not much different from Bangkok in August. I speak from personal experience. Winter, on the other hand . . . . one thing both aircraft have had is testing in bitter cold.

Gripen has been tested in the heat (including hot & high) in South Africa, where they are content with its performance. Dunno about hot & humid at low altitude.

What if the results of such testing means underpowered to IAF? We don’t know the Grippen Results and we o not know the IAF demands.
