Maybe so, but making a realistic looking copy of the Tax disk that would stand up to close scrutiny is not something you can just scan and copy, the new method makes it so much easier to cover the scam even close up although the majority of cars do have the VIN number in view under the windscreen, don’t know if the software the Police use gives the VIN as well, even if it does they will have to stop the vehicle and looksee to make sure, where as the old Tax disk is a visual method that can be checked from a distance…
