costs may also come into pay. iran has alot of money and small armed forces, whereas china has much less per capita income and much larger armed forces.
i suspect all the laser and optic weapons are just a interum solution until sat guided weapons could be developed and feilded.

could just be the different weather patterns of the different nations. iran has dry and sunny weather most of the time, ideal for OE weapons. whereas china’s east coast is wet and cloudy alot of the time, so the effectiveness of OE weapons would be servierly limited.
plawolfi love strategy games, but have gotting a little bored with the resource management side. all the currently gen of stragety games, IMHO, doesnt have too much strategy in them at all. its just a fixed system of harvesting/mining etc, and building millions of units and crushing your opponent through sheer size of numbers.
the real ‘stargety’ is pretty much only how to get your workers/minners working at their peak efficiency. hell, sometimes all you need to do to win is to keep 99% of your attention on your ‘economy’ and building troops at peak efficency and just sending them all off to fight by themselves. only very occasionally do you really NEED to micro-manage the battle. all the games are pretty much just the same but with different units, timelines, stroies and tech trees etc.
i loved ground control because it got rid of all the mining and building and freed you up to do the fighting. it also required alot more real stragety from you as you only have so many troops, so needed to be more careful with them.
i am looking forward to the warhammer 4k RST. the reviews sound really promising, and the graphics look great!

what are you on about? you implied that the reason that those soilders were mistreating the prisioners were because they just caught them with an AK47 after a gun battle. thats plainly wrong. these soilders were prison gaurds who most likely never saw real combat, never mind having just narrowly escaped a bullet fired by one of those captives.
how did the rest of your post in aby way backed up your claim that those were just soilders venting anger after a firefight? :rolleyes: they must have been pretty angery to have such large grins across their faces. 😡

i seriously doubt that anyone here has been right 100% of the time. so if all your here to do is to try and promote your own fixed opinons with little regard for what the evidence says and cannot accept the possiblity that you might be wrong, then im not sure you’ll enjoy any serious discussion very well.
if you wish to convince others that your view is correct, then you need to back up your views with tangable, or at the very least, logical and believable theroies. and also to expain away the contradicting evidence in a similar fashion.
so, do you want to try again, or do you just want to go play in your little corner convinced that everyone else is being stubben and inflexable, and unable to face the possibility that they might be wrong?

However, if I was in charge of an army and someone refused to do as I said then I would have them thrown out. I think that is fair, and most of them didnt want to get thrown out.

based on what i have read, Fabrizio Quattrocchi (man who was executed) went to Iraq to earn enough money so he could buy a house with his fiancee and start a family. below is a link to the bbc article on Fabrizio.
well these 4 men might not have went to iraq to kill iraqis, but they knew that by taking that job they were placing themselves in a situation where they would very likely have been required to shoot and kill iraqis, and they obviously didnt have a problem with that or they would not have stayed. things in iraq didnt just go down the toilet overnight.
‘co-op’ is a well known UK supermarket chain. would you like to have armed foriegners standing gaurd outside your local supermarket knowing that if one of them shot you, he would most likely never have to answer for it?
‘security consultants’ arent just men who go around and tell you where you should put ur burgler alerm, not in iraq at least anyways. did you know that there are more private ‘security consultants’ working in iraq then the whole british army in iraq? what we are seeing is effective privatiastion of war and occupation, but unlike professional soilders, these private sector warriors dont have to answer to anyone but their bosses, who mostly dont care about the welfare of the iraqi people they are supposed to ‘protect’.

sure, most of them probably have a family and a sob story waiting back at home. but so does the iraqis that many of them have killed, but we hardly hear of those stories. and unlike them, the iraqis didnt choose to put themselves in that polition.
i dont support the way the iraqis have taken them prosioner and have killed prisioners, but my view is that if you cant stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. those men knew the risks and accpeted them (thats why they get such fat paychecks), so they cant blame anyone but themselves for putting themselves in that position.

IMHO, you have to be really blind in order not to see the traces of the Lavi in the J-10. Maybe it’s because I’m not just an internet warrior, and I actually do some research. I been studying the Lavi project, the IAI and the whole aviation sales related security system of Israel. For example, you find an atricle from 1994 saying that “China has completed the building of a Lavi plane in cooperation with Israel”, and that’s without having any pics of the plane to demonstrate of how really the two planes are similar, and a few years later when we can see good pics of the J-10, it is similar to the Lavi. Coincidence?

on the other hand, you seem convinced that J10 is a LAVI with a different hairdo, and tries to conveniently explain away the obvious and vast differences as only being a result of redesign work on the part of the chinese, despite the glaring fact that such redesign work would be just as difficult is not more so then simply making a new design from scratch, and the fact that both china and israel have vermently denied any transfer of LAVI tech.

they were highly paid mercinaries, and i have little sympathy for such people. at least the soilders signed on to defend their nation, what else but money did these people go to iraq for?
