“ok so according to thinking today weve evolved from the monkies and we are presumably still evolving so where will we be in ten thousand years?

According to some experts we will be able to survive a head on car collision at one hundred mph but what good is that when crude oil will be gone in a hundred years.

Some of us like flying so will we develop wings and be able to fly and if we do will we develop feathers and build nests.

We all sit at a computer at one time or another how long will it be before we develop a keyboard on one arm and a mouse on the other”

i believe we humans can choose what we can become, (within a certain limit that is 😉 ). but ironically, that choice is more likely to be as a result of fasion as oppose to usefulness. after all, if u did see a woman with a keyboard and mouse as limbs, would u really consider having a kid with her? and lets not even get to the 100 MPH car crash servivers shall we?;)

“So we’re back onto the idea that given an infinate number of possible combinations, we end up with a finite set of creatures.

    Not buying it.”

well what’s there to ‘not buy’? there are infenate variations. just look around u, every single creature on earth is different from every other one, even amounst the same species there are vast differences. the point of evolution is that it never stops the trial and error process. with every new individual born into the world, there is a slight, but distinct variation.

every new born child is another step forward for evolution. the main difference between this and what we commonly percive as evolution is the rate of change. the change can be dromatic over time, but because of our very limited lifetimes, the differences seem trivial and are often ignored.

“So maybe you should worry about what the monkeys have evolved from to become monkeys now. And what about the higher life forms that must have been about when we were monkeys – where are they now?”

monkies, like everything else first came from bacteria.;)

as for higher lifeforms, well there only higher lifeforms around when we were all monkies were dinos, and u know where they are dont you?:p

“And as for evolving from monkeys, thats pure balls. If that was the case, how come the rest of the monkeys didn’t evolve? Nonsense. As to sharing 96% deoxyribonucleic acid with chimps, the 4% relates to brain, form, senses and not throwing cream buns at teatime.”

ahh, i see snapper is getting insecure about the prospect that his greater greater great…grandparents might be monkies.:D

the stuffed monkey was ITV digital’s ‘thingy’ until it when bust, then the stupid monkeys flooded the market as ITV tried desperately to make enough money to pay off its debters.
