Hurricane Emily passed over CUN on sunday night.
Looking at their terms and conditions on carriage, do i sense some uncertainty?
cancellation of operation
Due to the publicity and bad name that some airlines have given to the travel industry, with airlines ceasing trade only a few days after beginning their services, leaving their passengers stranded. Nexus Airways will operate a pay-as-you-go type scheme, passengers will not be charged by Nexus Airways until we are 110% sure that your flight is operating and that there are no financial problems with the operation. We believe this the fairest possible way, ensuring that when we debit your account, you can be sure that your flights are operating.
It does seem strange, even Monarch weren’t advised of it!!!
Do you want charter flights or charter carriers? I see you have ZB flights down, these are scheduled flights.
More Greek ATC strikes forecasted for this Wednesday 0900-1300z.
Hey,
my brother was at the airport ready for his night flight to Corfu, when he found out there will be a pretty big delay. He was told this is due to a strike over in France. So, the corfu flight earlier today will be late coming in as they have to fly around France. Anyone know anymore?
Cheers
Your brothers flight operates on the A320 that operates the slot 1 NAP and the slot 2 MAD, that is why he is delayed. The slot 1 CFU ops on the 752 and suffered nil delay as it is possible to avoid french airspace routing up from Greece. Did your brother not check the delay line?
andyxh558 – Calm down, only reporting the facts. I am Monarch staff and know all about his a/c. You don’t work for Jepps by any chance?

The aircraft was actually painted by Air Livery at Filton, from there it positioned to Marshalls to be re-configged and generally Monarchized. It came out of there on saturday evening and postioned to LGW ready to operate the 357. It was AOG in LGW with a hydraulic leak. Eventually departed with just over a 4 hour delay.
It has a premium cabin with 38 seats.

Would be even better if there were enough crews to fly it.

One other thing. This months article “Is Low-Cost really Low-Cost?, what does it really achieve, apart from stating the obvious. The only 2 routes on the list that can really be compared are LGW-BCN, then one is a single journey and the other a return. Why didn’t they do both as singles, or both as returns, surely that would give a more accurate comparison! It’s the same for the taxes. It’s more like an article I would have written at school.
