I thought all 1-11’s have been banned from flying in the uk due noise restrictions.

I don’t have a problem with Monarch, i just find it interesting to hear yr points of view. Nice to hear the perspective from someone who works in schedule services. However, with the increased schedule routes, it is the charters that tend to take the delays to having to protect the schedules. Having 2 a/c in special config doesn’t help when prog disruption occurs within the fleet.

The trouble with Monarch is that i can’t quite make out what it wants to be, is it charter, schedule or low cost? with it now branching out with a BCN schedule, it is trying to move away from the traditional bucket and spade destinations. I hear the possility of more cities in the future.

If you don’t want to pay more than £50 for yr trip to GIB, fly to AGP and get the bus or train down.

A curfew is a curfew, Maybe if they had spoken to the airport auth they would have got an extension or been told not to risk it. Is it a case of a low cost operator taking risks so they dont have to pay compensation for a canx flight? Is it just the airline that would get fined or would others? At ZRH, if a a/c breaks the curfew, the ATCO is fined $14000 for allowing that a/c to do so.

How can you compare the c/*p A321 with a B757. The A321 struggles to make it back from the greek Islands and the Canaries. How many A321’s operate ETOPS flights?

I wonder if all the people who are in the process of being made redundant from the industry think it is getting back to normal? 1500 from BMI, 50 from EZY
