Australia to buy aircraft the US rejected

AUSTRALIA will buy 10 new Alenia C-27J Spartan tactical transport aircraft, even though they have been labelled “not operationally suitable” by a US agency and are set to be dropped from US military service.

DARPA puts its $195 million Tomorrow Never Dies stealth ship on the scrap market

As bidding stands, the Sea Shadow might be a bit of a bargain, too.

Just $50,000 will get you the ship that inspired the radar-evading vessel that was the base of evil media mogul Elliot Carver in the 007 film Tomorrow Never Dies.

What if Iraq didnt invade Kuwait

Instead Saddam chooses to foster good ties with the West and Eastern
    block

They choose to continue to build military capacity until 2005 and make another attempt at Iran

Mirage 2000 or Rafale or maybe Gripens

    Su-30mk for sure

what else would they have needed to take Iran

What would have Argentina’s airforce looked like if they waited until 86 or latter

Possibly they may have had the Kfir C2 is service or possibly Mirage F1’s

They could have had a stockpile of Exocets not just air launched but also shore based that they could have deployed to the Falklands for coastal defence

They could have upgraded the A-4 Skyhawks with Israel

And i also read somewhere that one of Britians carriers had already been sold to Australia and it was the Falkalnds War that caused Thatcher to cancel the sale

What if Argentina didnt invade the Falklands until 1986 or latter

They waited to get full deliveries of Super Etendards and Exocets and maybe placed follow on orders

And what other capabilities may have Argentina had if they waited

Could they have then won the war

The S-400 Triumf (Russian С-400 «Триумф», formerly known as the S-300PMU-3/С-300ПМУ-3, NATO reporting name SA-21 GROWLER) was introduced in 1999 and features a new, much larger missile with 2 per TEL. The project has been encountering delays since its original announcement and deployment has only begun on a small scale in 2006. With an engagement range of up to 400 km (250 mi), depending on the missile variant used, and specifically designed to counter stealth it is by far the most advanced version. Little else is known about this version.

So why not simply remove the copyrighted material from the Threads

    Simple solution

Tango III always posted links to his articles so i dont see any copyright violations

If these threads are not going to be here anymore, i’ll say goodbye now as they are the one reason myself and many others visit this forum

Why not make it so only Tango can post in those threads
    Simple solution
Its so easy to do with Vbulletin as well
If the admins do not know how to do this im willing to assist them

Anyway patiently waiting for Tango III news threads to return, but not for very long

Australian UH-1H Iroquios, yes the were in army service when they retired but they started life in airforce service

And those who argue that the RAAF isnt a small airforce, for a country the size of Australia with the massive coastline, its a small airforce
