A couple of Agusta 109’s AE-334 and AE-331 were captured intact and are still in use by the SAS at Hereford, now registered as ZE410 and ZE411.

    Richard

Just a coupple of questions. The SAS is part of the RAF or the BA?
Anothe information said that both choppers seem to be operated by 8 Flt. AAC. So, who is the right user of the choppers? Does anybody know?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

    Fernando

Also held in store by FAAM at Cobham Hall are examples of both a UH1H(AE422) and T34(0729) along with other captured vehicles, anti-aircraft weapons and ground equipment. The last open day for 2008 is on Thursday 23rd October

That´s right! I had the chance to see them in a private visit to Cobham Hall last August. There also are another Falklands veterans: Sea Harrier, Sea King, Wessex and Wasp. Very nice place!!!

The Pucaras in the UK should be the following, sightings via various spotters reports collected by an anonymous Argentine aircraft tracker at: http://www.geocities.com/aeromilitaria_ar/otras/preservados/intro_i.htm Last notes are a bit old in the tooth, but it gives a reasonable picture of the population.

A-515 Cosford Aerospace Museum, Cosford (U.K.) Jul 1998 Wore RAF serial ZD485 briefly.
A-517 (G-BLRP) Somewhere in Witney, Oxfordshire (U.K.) 1995 Last known owner Rod J. H. Butterfield. This one seems to be missing, perhaps the people at Flypast know more about this one.
A-522North East Air Museum (U.K.) May 1999 RAF maintenance number 8768M allocated, former FAA museum at Yeovilton.
A-528 Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum, Flixton (U.K.) Nov 2000 Undergoing restoration.
A-533 DERA Boscombe Down Museum (U.K.) Apr 2002 Nose only.
A-549 Imperial War Museum (U.K.) Mar 2001 Falklands exhibit, hangar 3.

    Hope this helps.

    Arthur:

The argentine aircraft tracker is Mr. Carlos Ay, former editor of the well reputated argentinian aircraft magazine PISTA 18.
Today Mr Ay is the webmaster of http://www.aeromilitaria.com.ar and http://www.pista18.com.ar . The first site was mentioned by you in your previous post, and the last site is the current digital version of PISTA 18 magazine, where I work as european correspondent.

    Dear Gentlemen:

Thank you very much for all your answers. I will be researching about all Argentine aircraft in UK, so more questions will be posted by me in the next weeks, and I will probably be writting to each of you for futher information in particular examples.
Last August I was visiting several museums around UK, and I collected some information about the aircrafts exhibited in the most pupular and best known ones. I was at Middle Wallop, Duxford, Cosford and Yeovilton.

Thank you so much to every body.
    Best regards,
