Isn’t this figure a little too high? Both Jane’s Fighting Ships 2008 and Weyer’s Flottentaschenbuch states that the displacement of the Typhoon (Akula) is 18500 T surfaced and 26500 T dived, which seems more reasonable.
Even if your sources are correct, the Typhoon doesn’t sit high enough in the water to justify a doubling of the displacement when submerged.
Well the Delta 4 and Ohio can break through ice and fire thats for sure , what can be debatable is how much of thickness can the hull breakthrough , granted it would be more of Typhoon then the rest.
Also according to Jane’s, the Typhoon is capable of surfacing from beneath 3 meters of solid ice.
Also your warhead numbers are wrong. The Ohios did carry 24 missiles but each missile only had up to 8 warheads. That means an Ohio carried 24 x 8 = 192 warheads, compared to the Akulas 20 x 10 = 200 warheads, so the Akula had the greater firepower.
Actually, the Ohio could carry 12 MIRVs/each missile, but since 1991 they have only carried eight due to the START treaty.
