What I would like to know is if there was ever a Red 63, 69, 71, 73-76 or 78?
Yeah, I have thought about that too. Seeing as the “80s” series is complete, I guess it makes sense to have both th e”60s” and the “70s” series complete. Problem is, you’ll need pictures to verify this, and in general theres a lack of Su-33 pics floating on the internet of “rare” Flanker-Ds.
Also does anyone have any info on additional Su-33 accidents? I know of at least one in 2000, but I donβt have the Bort number.
I saw that one too on Scramble. Anyone got information about the crash in 2000? Was it during a carrier op.? I know the Kuznetsov went to sea after the Kursk accident in August, but the unknown Flanker-D crashed in May! Maybe it was during land based practice?
As far as Blue 42 is concerned, judging from the apparent age of the photo I wouldnβt be surprised if itβs a standard Su-27 being used for touch & goes while the air wing was waiting for its Su-33 to be delivered.
Both T10-24 and T10-25 was used for carrier testing, and atleast the 25 had a tailhook. I can’t say I can see a tailhook at this “42 Blue”, but it may be there, just hard to see.
One sexy bird
I concur! π
P.S. – Blue 42 is in fact a Su-27 (no canards, tail stinger too long)
Then I would guess its one of the pre-T10K planes used for tests. T10-25 in new wrapping perhaps?
Oh, and thanks for both of the pics! Just let me know if you “need” any pictures, and I will see what I can do. π
Oh, forgot to show you this pic, guys. Its the T10U-2 giving fuel to the first Su-33, the T10K-1:

What would be the point? SSBNs are supposed to stay hidden, right? π
Thank you for that list. I realy apreciate it.
As for the couple of extra planes I have, some of them are pre-T-10K planes, like the T10-3, T10-25 and even a dual seater T10U-2.

I got another one too:
’42 Blue?’
Anyone know which one this is?
As for your “collection”, can you post pics of the T10K-8, 61 Red, 62 Red and 70 Red? π
I’d realy apreciate it!
I actually have that book, and the ’75 Red’ is not printed there. I’ve scanned every Flanker-D pic in that book, but I doubt I can post them here due to the copyright.
So you don’t have a pic of ’75 Red’ on your computer or anything?
Super-Flanker? Whats that? The Flanker-Es?
hehehe! Nice find! *starts saving for Β£49mill*
Do you have any pics of these planes?
Okey – a silly question in the Norwegian morning: Why do you call the SSBN subs “boomers”?
Heihei! π
As far as I know, the USN call their SSBNs “boomers” because of the “boom” when they detonate their missiles! π

Is that the so called “Delta-Stretch”?

Okey, I feel realy stupid to bump an 6 year old thread, but I’ve always learned that its better to post in an existing thread, than to create a new one.
Down to my point:
I’ve been searching for this book the last year or so, but it seems that nobody has it anymore. I am wondering if you guys can help me with one of the following:
1.) Do you know any place they still have copies of this book left?
2.) Do you know if they will make more copies of it?
3.) Do you know anyone who are willing to sell the book secondhand?
Again, sorry for bumping it, its just that it seems to be a damn good book.
Sorry.
Thanks for the replies guys.
I have fixed the stuff Maxpain told me, and I have consulted the list at Warfare.ru to compare. I have made some adjustments in the list, among others adding a “Fleet” coloumn.
But please, feel free to correct me and help me fill the blanks! π
