Just like in 9.11 incident. Had the americans had a faster interceptors, they would have intercepted jet liners which strucked Twin Towers.

    Excuse me?

As far as I know, the first two planes who hit WTC were in many ways a sneak attack.
No fighters were launched to intrecept them…be it MiG-25s or F-16s…

The F-117 is a different story: the designators from -116 (to -124 id I’m not mistaken) were used for soviet aircraft “acquired” by the USAF,and used for testing.

The F-117 was numbered like that to confuse those who had to pay for the programme, and make them think it was something Russian.

Oh, didn’t know this. Can you tell me which Soviet plane got which F-number?

    Hi Dmitri! 🙂

Well, avionics (aviation electronics) is different from plane to plane, so I’m not sure what you are asking for?

PS: I hope I got your name right, but I’m not too skilled in the Russian language…

    This sure looks interesting!

Now, on the subject of Norways new fighters:
Do you think the dual engined Eurofighter is more suitable for Norways large territory of water?
I mean, its better two have two engines when you patrol huge areas of ocean.

Of all the previous fighters operated by the RNoAF, only one of them have had dual engines, the F-5A/B (atleast what I remember), so I’m not sure if this realy is a problem.
