Very cool, thanks for posting these and I look forward to seeing more.
Eric
From what I heard the Russell Spitfire needed an annual done and they were not able to do it in time for the flight. The proposed pilot to fly it was going to be Robert Erdos.
Thanks. It was a great weekend of flying and fun. Andrew, the images from the ground look great. They were in tight for the pass. Iām sure we will see more of this formation next year and with the Russell Spitfire. Everyone was disappointed it could not make it. All I can say is I was very privileged to be in the air with them to capture the flight images.
Eric
Hey, thats me in the back of the Russell Harvard! What a fantrastic weekend of flying and fun. For some A2A images from the weekend check out my website at BoB Ceremony Ottawa I’m still on a high from the weekend.

Happy Landings,
Eric
The Great War Flying Museum in Brampton, Ontario have a great collection of WWI replicas. All are full scale except one SE-5a. There website is Great War Flying Museum I had the pleasure of flying with them recently and flew in the Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter. Some of the images I captured.

Happy Landings,

Lets hope in 5-10 years there are a few Canadian airshows left to warrant the Snowbirds existence. I doubt we will see the Snowbirds fly anything but the Tutors for the next 10 years.
Eric
BC thanks for posting the images. I almost made the trip but have been on the road for the past seven weeks so I decided to sleep in for a change and save my energy for Geneseo next week. The Firefly looks great and I caught the Canso returning home late yesterday when it over flew the Lake Ontario coastline at Port Hope. It was great to see a Canso appear out of the blue without warning. I had to sit and watch for a change as the camera was not at hand.
To bad they no longer fire up some engines on Canada Day. I remember seeing the Hind, Harvard and others ground run in past years.
Cheers,
Eric
Great work Dave. Hopefully we will have time for another beer at Geneseo next week.
Eric
Yes, they are very close to mine, only I did not freeze the prop blade on the Harvard š

Eric
Great shots! Hope you don’t mind I posted them on another thread taken from the airshow site. Didn’t realize they were taken by you.
Steve
I don’t have any shots on the Ottawa airshow website.
Eric
Thanks guys. This is not the first time a Harvard has flown with a CF-18. In Western Canada I know Bud Granley has also flown a Harvard with a CF-18.
Eric
What’s with the Avro Arrow? Mockup?
The Arrow is something like a 2/3 scale mock up for a play about the Arrow that ran in Toronto a few decades back.
Eric
Not an Anson nose?
Eric
I think I did see you at Carp..I was with the WIX lads…
It was a pretty good airshow..even if the fields were alittle wet…
Mountainview was very HOT temperature wise..
Yes, I made a short visit with Mike, Steve and the boys. I ended up hiking it to the other end of the flight line for the show. I have never walked through so much water in my life. Needed hip waders.
