it looks exactly the same as it did in 2000 when i saw it last, maybe a few added panels, the story then was ‘we are waiting for the engine’…save yourself the time and effort and wait for East Kirkby’s Lancaster NX611 to fly as you have more chance of that happening than MW763 flying,Concorde has more chance of flying…

sorry,it just never seems to be an option when they take bigger aircraft into the place, open a crash gate and drive it around the taxiway, sorted.
why couldn’t it be moved to Cosford via the A464? which runs to the south of the airfield.

BAR gives DL with 234Sqn as XX317 on 30/11/93

I remember seeing that one in all blue G-SARK at North Weald 2004.
I actually used the G-INFO to look the other Singapore possibility up.
G-UVNR on the other hand gets everywhere and for some reason i keept taking its photograph.
elmo.
The Desert Camo G-UVNR is ex Botswana. The second looks like a Singapore type scheme and they did use them coded 301-315 and others. The first one could be G-SOAF coded 425 ex Omani AF

A few blasts down the runway followed by high speed flypasts and then back to land by the modern mil,the UK-Aus re-enactment produced 21 assorted Tiger Moths,a Puss Moth,Hornet Moth,DH84 Dragon,M38 Messenger,Queen Bee,Leopard Moth and a trio of Chipmunks,oh and a Dragon Rapide plus a DH90 Dragonfly.
Majority of them landed however one or two decided that just a flypast would do due to the winds. We also had Spitfire MK356 from the BBMF do a decent display and P-51 G-BTCD.

its been fairly busy recently, nothing like the standards of years gone by but the odd aircraft drops in now and then. You can safely photograph from the 29 end via the scrub ground or i think Johns old campsite is still on the go and piccy taking is usually ok.

simply for the sake of correctness the WB57 thats here at Mildenhall is N926NA ex 63-13503,the other one N928NA ex 63-13298 was here last week but didnt hang about…the previous visit a few years or so back was by N928NA.

Its the most dimly lit museum i’ve ever visited making photography almost impossible with a 35mm,even friends with digital cameras struggled.
