I saw the same Tempest in 2000 and not much has changed according to the most recent picture, and i remember being told the engine was away then!!
there’s also the story of the Gannet he took to Sandtoft, never did get the prop back from where-ever before its move to Elvington.
I thought the North Weald derelict B-25 went to Wycombe Air Park for restoration to be displayed on the airfield and the wreck at Sandtoft went to Europe for restoration to static display,

I live in Mildenhall,Suffolk and can see everything arriving on runway 29 and or departing on runway 11,i can sit in the garden watching the USAF circuit bashing, even had a few S-3 Vikings a few weeks back, came in right over my roof on short downwind final for 29…..we have the two F-18F’s from Farnborough in at the moment, waiting to go home tomorrow i believe,a KC-10 has appeared so i’m assuming its taking them.

snooping around the tree line making a nuisence of myself.
you might have to claim through the Motor Insurance Bureau, for which you will have to make a formal complaint to the police about the driver concerned, you can believe me from first hand experience recently that the police will only be interested in the fact that the bloke was drunk, stand your ground and make them take the complaint, note all the PC’s collar numbers etc that you have dealings with too….good luck,it took us nearly a year to get ours resolved to our satisfaction…
Flying in kent,
i’ll do you a house swap if the noise bothers you that much,in a secluded area of Suffolk, peace and tranquility guaranteed…..just the odd KC135 or ten on a daily basis, six C-17 Globemaster III’s yesterday/today,couple of Galaxys, the odd Herc and one or two Buzz Bombers(C-21’s and the likes),oh yes and the NASA Canberra not long back, now that was good, you could hardly hear it…………coming anyway.
Anyway,if you fancy it then come to Mildenhall, not sure if i’m keen on spamcans though.
It came from storage at Davis Monthan and arrived at Mildenhall inside a C-5 Galaxy.

The Scout is behind the main gate, its a Skeeter thats where the museum is.
you wont get anywhere near her now that they have AH-64’s on base, plus its nowhere near the Wattisham museum.
Thank god they have decided at last,at least my home won’t be invaded by certain board members and others, plus the grass will survive without tents pitched on it.
al,less than half a mile from runway 29 at Mildenhall.
