    An unlikely date: –

Rachel Johnson and Nigel Farage: –

But despite disagreeing with him, she apparently has always had a soft spot for good old Nige!

Just did 4 orbits over us near Petworth West Sussex, now heading north, curving around west side of LHR.

And captured on video near Dunsfold by Wonkabar: –

Two F15 Eagles low over Blackbush 15:12.
Apparently doing a flypast at Brookwood Cemetary.

And seen heading towards Dunsfold in the murk about ten minutes or so ago!

(They are showing up on FR24 as ‘Harley21’).

Indeed warhawk69, that was the gist of the he various interviews I have read with Peter Teichman.

He mentioned that he was in no hurry to sell the aircraft, and would make sure that they were sold to the ‘right buyer’.

It’s worth remembering that PT879 was his first Spitfire (project), but when PL965 came up for sale, it was to good an opportunity to miss, although I seem to recall in the profile on him a few issues ago in Aeroplane Monthly, he admits it might have been better to have had PT879 restored sooner, as the rebuild costs have gone up considerably since he first acquired the project.

Whoever G-KITT goes too, it’s time at Hangar 11 will be fondly remembered, and it was a pleasure to see this wonderful aircraft on a regular basis at various shows throughout the UK.

If they could do a QEC for an Allison, that would indeed be cool, although I understand some small mods were needed to the insides of the cowlings on the Erikson example.

One thing I’ve never liked about this Buchon is the spinner.

Whilst it tries to look like the original 109G type, it looks too bulbous, and I much prefer the Canadian Hurricane spinners fitted to G-AWHK & G-AWHE, if an HS three blade prop is used.

It just looks a lot nicer in my opinion, and balances out the front end.

It is up for sale on Platinum Fighters

    http://www.platinumfighters.com/messerschmitt-bf109g12

Being able to convert easily between Merlin and DB engines may make it a good deal for someone.

Along with the rest of their collection.

So it’s interesting that they have purchased the ex Spitfire Ltd Buchon G-AWHE. (As mentioned in a separate thread).

But as someone else said, no doubt getting a feel for the market, but then if the offer is right….

Thanks for the posting this redvanner.

An interesting and practical solution, and great work by the team at Meier Motors!

Now, as the Erikson Buchon conversion has been fitted with an Allison, I wonder if the same thing could be done with one of those as well, thus keeping the front end look of a 109?

It seems that a draft of the Labour manifesto has been leaked, according to the BBC 10 o’clock news.

Some more details from the Telegraph, who have seen a copy, can be found here: –

As predicted, back to the Labour policies of the 1970s!

There’s been some interesting stuff said by former Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis, who of course has first hand experience of dealing with the EU.

(And if you recall, was against our leaving of the EU).

Interesting that others who said this sort of thing would happen were shouted down, but then the ‘gangsters’ of Brussels would always want to show the world (and us) how powerful they think they are, and that anyone else who wants to leave the EU, should think again.

But that’s the EU, and their idea of democracy for you!

    Fantastic news.

Looking forward to seeing her in the air again soon!

Looks as if they have made new some new dummy barrels for the 20mm cannon.

I’m hoping they are going to fit the correct tapered shrouds to replace the later ‘e’ ‘blown’ type that it used to have.
