And one has to ask how would the Irish border issue would have been dealt with if we had never been members of the EU, Good Friday agreement or no Good Friday agreement?

How stupid are these people? Sad thing his intellectually challenged groupies will believe this….
….much like those who support the EU, but don’t understand it’s purpose, who set it up, and who pushed the UK into joining it.
(“It’s all about trade”, “It’s the greatest peace project ever”, “It makes us European”, “It’s democratic” ,”Their laws are better” etc.) :highly_amused: 🙁
Debating Brexit, Gerard Batten vs two remainers
So it’s interesting after the last few days events in our parliament, it now seems that the EU is now favoring the default legal position of a no deal!
EU now favouring No-Deal Brexit over Negotiating!

Cheer up AK, I mean, it’s not like you really care about other people’s jobs and the ‘effect’ of these ‘heavyweight’ businesses moving to EU countries!
Time you and he rest of the cry babies wipe those tears from those blinkered eyes, and actually come to terms with the fact that there is world and life outside of the EU.
(If of course, you and all those other fanatics would let it be so!)

The EU haven’t exactly been friendly and with their gas pipelines they’ll be funding the Russian army more than the EU army.
Along with their treatment of Theresa May when she went to meet them after the Chequers deal.
Whatever your opinion of her and her handling of the Brexit negotiations, they led her into a trap, and their behaviour was an example of why we should not be part of this gangster like federal union.
(Perhaps that’s why they’ve been a tad more conciliatory towards her and the UK recently).
You have to wonder why people support such an organisation that would be prepared to deny people of important medicines, food, and from travelling to EU member states (as we are led to believe) if a no deal scenario happens, despite the fact that the UK has a ‘special status’ within the EU, or so we are told!

I see the big league remoaners have just released a 12 minute video voiced by Stephen Fry (yes, him) titled ‘Brexit: Facts vs Fear – How a mythical EU dragon was conjured up and the striking truth behind it all – a trick of forced perspective put fear in the way of facts’, to help them push for a second referendum.
Well, far from any facts or a balanced viewpoint, as expected, this is 100% EU propaganda, produced by, and for the EU ideologists, because since the result, they have realised they made a a huge cockup in that they never thought that the UK would vote to leave this ‘mythical dragon’.
Ever since that day, they have had one aim, and one aim only – for the UK to remain a member of the EU!
Sadly for them, this video only reinforces the fact that they are the ones who have pushed the myths and indeed, are the ‘uniformed’!

AK,
Whilst they may have experience and expertise in their fields, it’s fair to say that countries leaving the EU is not a common occurrence (especially one such as the UK, with 45 years as a member), so therefore, I would say it’s impossible to come up with any certainty that such predictions as those that the Bank of England or other financial and economic experts have made or suggested would actually happen in a deal, or ‘no deal ‘scenario.
And the same goes for any software used for modelling the economic situation of such outcomes.
One only has to take a look at the types of models used for modelling the weather.
Any meteorologist will tell you that you can’t rely on just one of the available models, as they all have their weaknesses, and will predict the outcome of a weather pattern differently to each other.
They have to do a fair amount of interpretation of these models, and take certain things with ‘a pinch of salt, based on their own knowledge and expertise of their subject, and the limitations of these software models. And even with all this taken into account, they still get it wrong at times!
The point is, we really don’t know how things are going to pan out economically whether the PM’s exiting ‘deal’ is accepted or not, but I do feel that the Bank of England and the like are over egging the pudding somewhat with their continued pessimism of all things post Brexit.
And one could also argue that there is a bias by financial institutions and ‘experts’ to support our continued membership of the EU, and push a ‘worst case’ scenario to help their argument.

We have already voted to leave, so the questions should be deal or no deal.
Indeed, and if there ever was a ‘people’s vote (a second referendum), they are the only questions that could be asked.
And I see the Bank of England is still engaged in project fear, with today’s statement predicting even more nasty things happening to the UK economy, yet it seems not to have spooked the markets.
It seems people have learned to take their predictions with a pinch of salt after those they made before the referendum, which proved to be false.

So, Dominic Raaaaaaaab resigns over a deal he negotiated? that takes the current level of incompetence to a whole new level……..
And what makes you think that?
He didn’t really make the decisions himself though, he was simply a two-way messenger, much like Barnier.
Indeed, and any involvement he did have, it would seem he found himself cast aside, much like David Davis!
It looks very much like a ‘no deal’ (or what the majority of the UK electorate voted for) could well become a reality.

Thanks for the heads up.
I was hoping that Thames or somebody would upload this programme.
Shame it’s shortened, but it’s better than nothing!
