Was that Gazelle G-BAGJ behind XN258?
Try here http://www.bell47helicopterassociation.org/
Btw, according Rotorspot.nl the specific helicopter was only in JA & VH register (Kawasaki-Bell 47G-3B.KH4 ; c/n2171 ; JA7539,VH-AHQ)
… and a small image of the JA7539 at the http://www.geocities.jp/rikichan55/ja7500.html π
Indeed, it looks pretty and ugly in the same time π
Btw, there’s ongoing private project of restoration one Soko 522 in Croatia…
Not sure about that because, beside J-20, Soko have had only one other piston engine project – Soko 522 http://sr.wikipedia.org/sr-el/%D0%90%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%BE%D0%BD_522. (they designed it to exploit a pile of overhauled P&W R1340 fmrYU got from USA during 1950s :))
I’d rather look similarity with constructions the Utva fabricated in Pancevo…
And here you are few more tips:
For possible help you can contact the Museum in Belgrade http://www.muzejrv.mod.gov.rs/pages_files/parter_files/partexpo/j20_files/j20.html – click on the upper/right βkontaktβ bar button.
For info regarding markings and color schemes of the exYU AF’s J-20 Kragujs, try via http://www.aeropoxy.netfirms.com/
β¦ and a little bit off topic…see how good it looks even on a shelf J

Well, I think that’s all I can contribute your project at the moment… Good luck and keep inform us about progress.
Cheers!
Indeed, the Soko Aviation Industry is almost a brown field now (speaking of plane production – and by the way, none of F16 or any other allies plane didn’t “help” for that happen ;-), but as far as I know J-20s were maintaned & overhauled by http://www.vzmoma.com/engleski/index.htm.
How about to start from there with your project?
Excuse my curiosity Firebex, but how come the seller didn’t provide you with sufficient documentation or at least direct you on some technical support for the plane?
I’m glad to be of help.
There’s one in Croatia, but in bad condition until now http://www.hrcappuccino.org/ – click on left “Okohodci” and then look 10th thread from the bottom list /pics taken back in 2002
I think the closest on English for Kraguj is Cra-guy (a kind of extincted raptor bird used to live in Central Serbia region) π
As far as of the rest… I’ll see what I can do for you Firebex
BTW, there are few more still airworthy J-20s around http://www.airplane-pictures.net/image22466.html
…in addition to the theme see also http://www.flight-manuals-on-cd.com/J20.html
Looks like we have a family project now π
Go ahead, that way you won’t just prevent some personal memories from oblivion but also help preserve part of aviation history as well.
You should try… already got one of them π
Thanks guys, I really apprecaite your kind help in this matter.
BTW, seams I knew for it (noted image at the A-BPIC site few months ago) but didn’t connect details π
