We use them as test weights for Hgv trailers they are all around 5000kg.
No probs will get some pics tmrw am,around the perimeter of the “frying pan”we also have large concrete blocks with steel loops cast into them I am told were lanc tiedowns,I once measured the tie downs cast in the floor and they are 6inches off the undercarrige of a lanc.
I work on what was raf grimsby/waltham we have a surviving Lancaster sized frying pan dispersal as part of the yard complete with tie down steel loops still sunk in,I can run a tape across it if you get stuck.
Auction today,I had a look at the Wessex it’s completely gutted and the skins are massively corroded no seriel numbers to be seen,the b6 is a fuselage from behind the cockpit to just before the tail.

..i am proud to have served in afghanistan for whatever politics involved i and all the other nations and every soldier that are there have done there bit to stop a bunch of evil people torture and murder normal peaceful people who just want to get on with there life,it was worth doing.if you have been on your beltbuckle rounds hitting the ground between you and your afghan army buddies fighting with you then you can put smart **** comments about not being able to trust any of them.r.i.p yanks and the A.N.A with them.
