It’s slightly north west of centre, not enough to have an anxiety attack about MarkV. People insist on trying to tell us it’s not the centre…………..flat earthers and all that.
Soured by the last burk…………..OK Mr Burk come clean now, how did you upset JR??
I wish TFC would move more stuff around, it certainly starts some intelligent debate………….we could even find Janie before it’s too late.
Pet dog??? You’re thinking of Janie, who’s also still missing.
The Oscar wasn’t too visible, but part of the rear fuselage appears primed.
Digby, northside is on the officers mess side of the road, I believe TFC have some storage facility there. You could be right, not many people around the T2.
Maybe he’s Dave Lees, but I saw in this forum he works on the Fury, you were there today as well?
There was another grey haired chap giving tours to people and letting them take photos at close quarters, the aircraft, that is. Friendly lot at TFC, you wouldn’t get that down at JR’s place.
Nobody by the looks of it:D
I somehow get the feeling that the lunatics have taken over the assylum………….must be the hot weather.
OK…. TFC moved some metal around ……….no story :p
Are you speculating I answered it or do you know I answered it?
Don’t understand all the arguements, until Duxford becomes an aviation museum (or equivalent)………..airliners don’t belong at Duxford………the ‘war’ in war museum tends to cover the other exhibits. Yes I know………the airliners belong to DAS.
Nuff said:o 😀
Put it on a barge and float it up river to Lambeth. Keep it docked there for visitor access. Similar the other ‘winged holiday coaches’. 😀 😀 😀
Crowd puller?????????
Leg puller more like
Now that is a rumour:D 😀
I somehow expect to be lambasted for this, however…….nothing against civil airliners in civil airline markings etc, but why in a war museum, particularly one as great as Duxford. If they were also used in military service, such as RAF, why doesn’t Hendon have any?
It’s probably just me……..when I visit a war museum I don’t expect to see aircraft ( still in corporate colours) that I used to go my holidays on from Heathrow and Luton.
and also something else that’s far more interesting!
Whatever it is I hope it doesn’t upset Digby, my PC’s not up to the strain and it wouldn’t sit on a pole too well.: eek:
Will he be flying at Legends?
There don’t appear to be any HAC aircraft listed for Legends, but I’m sure TFC will have their eye on him.
Digby, the FLW is usually restricted to the hard surface area and you probably won’t get as close as I imagine you would like. If there aren’t too many yellow jackets in the way you can get a good photo. On the subject of those in yellow jackets around the aircraft, I hope there aren’t too many complaints. It must be difficult to to get the balance of getting the a/c ready for the show and keeping the public happy. Safety is everything and I hope that is appreciated.
Look forward to meeting you in the enclosure, it doesn’t cost that much to join Friends, never know you might even win one of their copmpetitions!!
