Turkish jet fighter TF-X project time plan meeting…

Untill 2013 conceptual design, between 2013-2023 system development and presentation, 2023 first flight, between 2023-2025 flight tests and development, between 2023-2035 production and entry to the service, 2035 to 2065 operational use and support.
Thanks to the DENO from militaryphotos..:)
When they say production starts at 2023, do they mean limited series production or full scale deliveries to the air force ?

^^Indian pilots would be sent to Switzerland to make up for the shortage of flying hours in basic pilot training program. I still don’t see how they will be able to achieve the 150 hour benchmark when they are currently getting only a sixth of that.
Just wondering if anyone knows the origin of this picture and if there is any high res version available ?
Well it seems to me that while it’s clear PAF cannot compete with the IAF on modern aircraft, they’re heavily investing in new capabilities like tankers, AEW&C, were the IAF seems to be slightly behind. The addition of electronic warfare systems from the US seems a bit worrying to me. They said it’s defensive only, but it would be interesting to know whether they only protect individual aircraft or if they can protect a strike package.
The deal is only for 18 pods, although modern and capable you cannot ignore the overwhelming numbers of IAF aircraft which carry similar systems and the number of aircraft which are being upgraded to accommodate such systems internally (MiG-29, Mirage-2000 and Tejas). Other than tankers (which are of lesser concern due to lack of strategic depth in Pakistan), the IAF’s rate of modernisation and induction of newer systems is hardly being matched by Pakistan.
Second AEW&C flies with inert radar..
Just wondering, is there any information (manufacturer, origin, specs) available about the interferometer array on the sides of the aircraft ?
How big is the brochure, or whatever it is, beside it?
Seems like an A5 pamphlet, could be A4 as well, but I doubt that the seeker would be wider than 8-9 inches, tops.
US defence major Lockheed Martin has bagged a deal expected to be worth over Rs 100 crore for supplying laser-guided bombs (LGBs) for the Jaguar fighter aircraft fleet in the Indian Air Force (IAF).
The IAF plans to induct more than 100 bunker-buster LGBs for its Jaguar warplanes to destroy strongly fortified enemy targets.
It seems like Boeing Chinook has met the technical requirements for IAF’s heavy lift chopper and judging by the tone of the article, Mi-26 has made it as well.
^^ The trainer variant, Mk 1.
Quadbike , whatever idea I have is based on your posts..;)

Anyhoo, didnt see this before..seems like loosely based on Rustam -1 ?
This isn’t one of the HAL exhibits. All HAL models were miniatures. Also, doesn’t seems to be a DRDO UAV exhibit either, they were placed somewhere else.

Thats my point.
Take the Mig-29 and Su-27. They are by no means heavy for theirs size and purpose. They have a wide body with blended wing/fuselage.
Their body lift should be no less than F-35!Which brings us back the my Q. Why does it come with so high wing loading in the first place?
What is the heaviest singel weapon/payload the F-35 can carry on inner wing station?
The DT?
Its being designed for some pretty heavy loading.
Refernce ? Link ? Official Source ?
Check calendar.
In other news, USAF pilots with their F-16’s parked right outside starbucks become a common sight.
I think I am getting confused here, correct me if I am wrong. The demonstrator which is supposed to fly in 2014 is based on the ATD-x model displayed in public, but would be significantly larger and would be powered by two 11 ton engines and replace F-2 in the future, right ?
