According to this article, cost is a major factor in opting for Su-30 SM.
Also, why does the infographic mention only 6 A2A missile when it has been photographed with all hardpoints loaded with a2a missiles ?
I never believe in radar-evading jets. Radar wave is a kind of light wave. If you can see an F-22 with your eyes, a radar can see it as well. 😀
Brilliant. Some of us who actually go to graduate school to study this stuff now regret at the quality of education we receive.
Doesnt the Vixen 500E has a max range of 65km?
Against what class of targets ?
For fifth-generation aircraft have gold-plated glass
In Obninsk NPP “Technology”, which produces composite components for the fifth-generation aircraft T-50, developed a unique coating that protects the glass cockpit from the radio waves, and solar radiation. Thanks to him, the signal from the radar, air defense systems is not reflected from the cockpit, and the devices installed inside, remain invisible to the electronic systems of intelligence of the enemy.

Gold plated canopy ? How good is this source ?
30-ton J-20? That’s with 10 tons of fuel I assume…
That seems to be the case. Or maybe with internal load only ?
I have been trying to figure out…:o But We have standard filter/summer/shifter/integrator etc blocks with our Engineering SW @Work which is making me retarded these days. You would know Simulink, Copy and paste Blocks …
I feel exactly the way you do 🙂
Gosh, Raptor plz stop posting outdated articles.
Use the ignore button. Although I must admit his posts mark the point where the discussion on that particular topic has ceased, so its like an easy to search bookmark.

Is it just me under the effect of cheap rum and high contrast setting of the monitor or did they paint the bottom of another beautiful bird in neon green ?
Bit off-topic, but do you know why the Tiger did not make it?
According to this blog run by a former IAF pilot, they couldn’t make units available for testing as the Tiger was undergoing upgrades (?).

I couldn’t find much info on it. It seems that most manufacturers were not too keen to take part in that tender with very low possibility of a repeat order.
Couldn’t the Mi28 operate from the Mistral too?
Nic
Ka-52 seems to be a more compact machine, especially when the blades are folded.
PS: Why wasn’t the Ka-52 not in the Indian competition with the Mi-28 & AH-64?
It was. It didn’t make it to the pre-evaluation shortlist for reasons that aren’t exactly clear.
Had the PAK FA been based on the Berkut it would have been a really large aircraft. Lots of fuel, long range, big payload, big radar, S duct, etc.
It isn’t that already ??
Video of Mig 29 UPG with very smoky engines!!
That one doesn’t need any smokewinders for display .
Not a bad suggestion. F-22 still uses the same air intake technology as Q-5 does, the latter being a 1960s plane.

Oh wait, F-22 raptor and wright brother’s flying machine both depend on atmospheric oxygen to fly, the latter being an early 1900’s design.
Does not sound like much. India wanted 214.
India hasn’t “ordered” a single unit yet.
