They certainly suffer from a lack of drive which can only be provided by profit motive. Which can only provided by privatising all DPSUs.

The champions of free economy strike back 🙂

Once again me with something strange and esp. in mind of the latest Chinese fake I’m quite unsure. On the other hand “Weimeng” is one of the most reliable photographer around in China … but maybe again a Psed Fake or even simply a “foreign” UAV taken by him !???

    Deino

If it’s real… Either a testbed for a larger ucav or its a UAV like sentinel.

Wish we had a sense of scale for this thing… It could be a meter long for all we know.

Model airplane / UAV Competition held in Shenyang.

This is the entry from shenyang aerospace university.

They even had a competition for landing on a arrester equiped scaled carrier strip.

“The Fulcrum’s engines smoke heavily and are a good aid to gaining sight of the adversary.”
I was on airshow month ago where there was MiG-29UB and Eurofighter flying. I can tell you that both aircraft had similar smoke characteristics. The whole story about MiG-29 smoky engines is so overrated.

The older variants of rd-33 are particularly smoky, take a look at a RMAF fulcrum and hornet together.

Communists = Fight like ants don’t care about the life of the individual soldier. (So true from WW2 Eastern front till the end of cold war)

That is such a stereotype
Everything that the soviets made was a tri way design compromise between availability of technology, cost of procurement and the resources and training that could be provided for the maintenance crew. West was far ahead on all three counts but soviet still managed to surprise them with equipment that gave them best bang per buck.

Well if I am not wrong, this is the exact place where mirages and jags are given ground run at HAL. Also, I can see a GPU and SAT/Fuel line being connected to the aircraft. If you see on the port side behind the wing there are pipes, I guess those must be for fire fighting. So I am sure, they were giving a ground run. Just am surprise by the absence of the winch cables..

    Regards

I think you are right, maybe the brakes are good enough 🙂 Btw when can we expect taxi trials and first flight ?

Well one question that lingers after seeing that ground run of NLCA… I am pretty sure that the A/C would have been given a full performance ground run, that includes Dry Max and A/B modes. It seems that there is no winch cable attached to the wheel (MLG) to restrict the aircraft’s movement during Dry Max and A/B modes. Do it mean that the brakes are powerful enough to counter act the thrust of the engine or is it that the engine is very low powered..

    Regards…

I am not sure that the engine was powered on when these pictures were taken. They seem to be filling the fuel most likely.

Japan will not order an European fighter. It has nothing to do with the price. The Japanese are intrested in the technology, related skills and politcal support of the USA, when the military demand is of secondary importance only.

And the F-35 can provide all that. Can it provide within the time period that the Japanese want ? maybe not.

Why are the Levcons not on the AF version?

No Idea, they have always displayed Naval Tejas as a distinct model and Tejas Mk2 models have all been put up without Levcons.
