    I think LGKR is referring to the Finnair 757 that they are leasing in for SUmmer 06, not the old TF-… ones that are now G-VKN…

    You may already know it, but just to clarify 🙂

    according to the tour operators guide published by NIAL the XLA4198/9 to and From Rhodes is due to be flown by the 757 (finnair a/c?)

    and Air UK Leisure – Leisure International ?

    yeah… as far as i know airuk leisure ->leisure intl -> air 2000 -> first choice

    Wasn’t the ‘new’ Caledonian also one of the forerunners of JMC?

    yeah… wasnt Peach Air absorbed back into Caledonian… Airworld into Flying Colours then Caledonian and Flying Colours merged to create JMC..

    AIR UK Leisure was the in-house carrier of Unijet, now owned by First Choice.. am I right in suggesting the flights were flown on Air UK’s AOC using their crews etc? B734/763 A320/A321 services to the usual bucket and spaders!

    Inter European was the inhouse carrier for Aspro Holidays… it was taken over by Airtours who absorbed the IEA fleet into Airtours International.

    Virgin Sun was bought by First Choice also.

    Orion Airways merged into Britannia Airways, is that right?

    I was fortunate enough to catch the FCA752 takeoff empty back to MAN, supherb rate of climb, brilliant to watch!!!

    Yeah, but I’m not sure the many thousands of passengers inconvenienced by the delays and chopping and changing of routes would agree with you :rolleyes: !!!

    It would be a great move for Eastern Airways if it goes ahead, they are a professional little outfit (if only the ticket prices would drop abit!!) and might even see them operating some bigger a/c types such as the AT4.

    Did it teach us anything we didn’t know already? We know that Ryanair have tight turnarounds and little is possible between flights; cleaning up, thorough security checks etc.

    I think this programme was seriously over-rated and I’m convinced that it has done nothing but throw more publicity Ryanair’s way.

    I’m slightly disappointed at Channel 4 for saying this programme was on from 8.00pm until 9.00pm, when it didn’t start until about 8.10pm and it finished at 8.55pm. Mind you, after 45 minutes of it, I was getting bored. This was nothing new.

    Edit: Ryanair do crack me up. Take a look at the correspondence between the Production Company and Ryanair here.. http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/inpage.php?partner=DISPATCHES Ryanair are saying that some of the footage was set-up and wasn’t on a Ryanair aircraft. With that aside, how do they justify their staff saying such obscene things about passengers and their safety?

    T5, to me Ryanair mentioned that the trailors for the programme were staged, no other claims.

    On a seperate note, I have flown Ryanair 4 sectors before and have no reservations about my next four.

    last Summer there was a mix of A300 and A321 aircraft used on sectors into Newcastle.

    Believed to be the based B733 operating a normal Channex ski series charter.

    yep… it landed back in NCL late causing a delay on the Jet2 service to Murcia.
