yeah it looks good, it is different guys!!!
must be one of the biggest things crews have as a major problem; little or no knowledge of the passengers when problems occur!
nice to here your comments wys,

‘up norf’, my parents have an apartment in sidari!
i’v been to corfu every year since i was born for a holiday, bar this year and its the best airport! Always visited the island as a second holiday so can easily compare it!
The terminals a shambles, little or no facilites and very, very disorgansied but thats greece!
As for the size of the A330 and its ability to get into CFU; i’ve personally seen 2 Lauda 777’s land there with out a problem and believe that the Jordanian Royal Families own A340 has landed there on many occasion too. I dont think the size of the runway is dangerous, its more the infamous approaches!

I flew STN-SXB and back in April, 737-800 both ways
???
I can’t remember the 742 looking good at all, old Air NewZealand livery and the airtours tail – ewwwww!
If its gonna cost to keep the DC-10s airworthy etc then surely its going to make better financial sense to sell them on for freight use or scrap them. Afterall, JMC got rid of their two examples and just recently Monarch gave up the ghost on their sole aircraft!
I say more A330’s or 763’s – i thought that the 767-300 was easily the only aircraft type in the fleet which suited the old Airtours livery, anyone care to agree or disagree?!?!
LGKR
well i belive a “lease” or “dry-lease” if you will is just the basic leasing of an aircraft airframe. a “wet-lease” on the other hand is the actual airframe, flight crew, cabin crew and even the likes of Insurance I think.
e.g Air Holland operating for Air Scotland!?
Best Regional: Eastern Airways.
Why? Well, mirroring the comments of others in earlier posts its jsut really good to see a small, independent airline do well and prosper. I know of people who have flown one of their services and they have found them nothing less than highly superior. Had they still been around I’d have said Gill Airways, purely because of their old nativeness to Newcastle.
Best Flag Carrier: British Airways.
Why? Everyone considers BA to be the British flag carrier, lets be honest here! I doubt whether anyone flying from somewhere abroad will have as greater knowledge on the likes of Virgin – British Airways = British. lol.
Best Charter Airline: Thomas Cook Airlines.
Why? Their service has been alot more superior than other charter airlines! They beat the socks off my 6 odd Air 2000 experience, my poor Britannia 767-200 experience and they are a hell of a lot better than the likes of the old 90’s charter carriers like Sabre and IEA. Meals were great, seats were good for the industry standard pitch and the crew were smart and pleasant. Monarch came really close though, the A300 ride was kewl!
Best low-cost Airline: Ryanair.
Why? After some thinking I chose Ryanair because of my experiences with them – punctual, pleasant and cheap, everything I look for. easyJet is an extremely close second though because of their new range of services from my local airport Newcastle. Fly.be actually ranks close as well.
cheers,
LGKR
easyJet today started flying 3 new routes from Newcastle my local airport, bringing the total served to 6. Flights to Bristol, Paris and Prague now complement the destinations of Amsterdam, Belfast and London Stansted which is great news for the airport and indeed the region in which i live.
There was reports on local BBC news that the airline is looking to acquire more slots and therefore more destinations at the beginning of next year (for the Summer 2004 season?) – great news for the airline, the airport and again, us Northerners!!!
Can anyone shed any light as to which aircraft are based at NCL – the total is definitely three, just not sure which exact examples!
cheers,
LGKR
certainly hope so!!!
lol – you b@#~£*d at Matthew Murray – I was actually taking that in and checking jethros before I read your second post – nice one though!!
what a shame!!!
It has to be the best aircraft built IMO!!!
I agree with the comments statting that had the -300 been a bigger success then perhaps the program wouldnt be cancelled, although like someone has stated – this hasnt been confirmed by anyone let alone Boeing yet so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
Does anyone know if Air 2000 have received all of their brand-new aircraft yet? I know some were delivered new liveried and with a new interior last year but am totally unsure about whether or not they are expecting anymore?
