well i cant speak for you guys but i for one wouldnt be keen on putting 7 grand on my own credit card!!
a situation like this featured on easyJets airline programme a few years ago, the flight headed towards Nice was instructed to hold due to poor visibility and the flight wasnt carrying the fuel to hold for the necessary time so the flight diverted to Lyon, where easyJet have no handling contracts.
i seem to remember the flight being met by various fuellers, only to discover that the flightcrew had either an expired fuel carne(sort of a written credit note for fuel i believe) or a carne for anothe fuelling company. one of the options therefore was for the flightcrew to either use one of their own credit cards or contact the finance director at easyLand for them to make some rather quick arrangements.
quite amusing the situation really, al though i’d put the £7000 on AMM not laughing about it too much!!1 😀

😮 god!!!
i suspect that it will be a total coincidence if the hijackers (whoever they are) didnt know that the mentioned politicians would be onboard!! still, hope the situation is resolved as soon as possible with everyone but the passengers and crew uninjured.
gonna be cynical aviation wise now, 194 people onboard!? surely the type couldnt therefore be a 737?
perfectly willing to be proved wrong,

 I’m gonna be flying Ryanair next month from Stansted to Strasbourg and after reading your posts, cant say I’m really looking forward to it!
Flown the easyJet nee Go-fly service from NCL to STN last month and found everything impeccable apart from the delay outbound (that was due to the holdups at STN if you can remember – when they blamed all delays on staff not getting to work because of the weather).
I’d love to hear some Ryanair reports from anyone if you have any :p
Cheers,
LGKR
very nice… :p
Not quite sure where the orange comes into play but all the same its nice, its clean and it looks modern. Good luck Aeroflot!!
P.S Does anyone know if Aeroflot still operate the 777?
Cheers,
LGKR
I don’t quite know what it is with these horrible hybrids but I have to admit I actually quite like them – lol this bird actually looks smart in a sauded way!!

landing at corfu a few years ago in an AMM752; the approach felt way too fast even for Corfu so we touched down, kangarooed abit and I’m sure there was a sudden release of manual braking to say the least! lol
overhead bins opened then but the cabin crew were amused so it gave everyone else a laugh from what i remember!?
cheers,
LGKR
well, I’m less cynical! the pictures have the same ID number on airliners.net bar thew last digit so perhaps there were two similar AMM departures from Faro at the time!?! 🙂
I agree, I like the turquoise-ee colour more than the red, matches the cowlings and tail at least doesnt it!?!?
nice……. i love this series, works with one of my favourite airlines and its partners!! The Palma ones were equally as good but the ACE Aviation team are really good entertainment sorting those AMM flights!!
Anyone know about the Holiday Airline series, was half way through Monarch Airlines at MAN when 9/11 happened. Dont believe it has since been shown.
As for mile high, its a scream! Really good viewing for a sunday night. As far as realism and stuff goes, i’m not too bothered! I think we need to bare in mind that the programme probably wasnt aimed at us enthusiasts entirely (hence it being on skyone instead of discovery wings or something) so every last detail wont be accounted for; but like i said, its so good i don’t care :-p
Would love to fly for an airline like Fresh! or even see a virtual version of the airline for flightsim if anyones interested!?!?
Cheers,
LGKR
P.S forum looks mightly kewl these days!
RE: Your nearest BIG airport?
Newcastle International Airport – EGNT – NCL
RE: Low Cost Airlines
Blue Fox?
RE: Scottish delights
only slightly… perhaps!
presumably the F70 will have to be replaced with another type for capacity reasons, whether it be of the same size or larger size. If BMI go Airbus then yes they will save some money for example on maintenance/parts and an the usual fleet commonality such as flight crew training.
and apart from anything else, i dont belive that BMI would replace the type if it wasnt cheaper for them to run a different a/c type.. it jsut wouldnt make sense would it!
though, could it not be said that they could lose out at some stage. Isnt the main reason that Fokker, (Rekkof) is going to start re-producing the F70 that the airliner was ahead of its time and that its operational type is more suited to airlines of today!?!? -just a thought.

RE: Mile High Club
lol
RE: Downturn in Holiday Bookings
too true… I work for a retail chain which has seen poor profits since just before the christmas period which should be out best time of year. similiarly, a neighbough of mine runs a car dealership which has had the same problem.
as far as the “factory fortnight” goes, I do believe little or no companies in the manufacturing industry have this anymore. Wasnt it seen as un-necessary and unfair in an age where technology taken most of the manual labour out of manual labour!? This fortnight definitely existed a few years ago though, just not sure about now!

RE: Window scratches
nice one…
the scatches on windows are something that most of us will have commented on at one point or another on a flights, its always something i’ve notcied but never made the effort to find out the cause!
RE: The best news I’ve heard in a long time!
