RE: Guess the Airlines and Aircraft #3

The top picture is definitely a 757 – dont know the airline.

The next picture down looks to me like an ATR – Gill Airways?

The third pciture is an Airbus (A20/21) of Air 2000

The bottom (last) picture is a Boeing 747 belonging to Corsair

LGKR is the code for Kerkira Airport on the Greek Island of Corfu.

Its where I first flew to when i was tiny and where I’m flying in August.

I believe the real name of the airport is Ioannis Kapodistrias Airport.

    RE: Airport Security?

I think the low-cost ‘jobby’ you’re referring to, which appeared in the newspapers, was that of a reporter gaining access to a Go-fly 737-300 in the FLS Aerospace Hangar at Stansted*.

    * I could be wrong but remember something very similar happening.

It might be worth checking out the Mirrors website ( http://www.mirror.co.uk ) as I believe they were the paper who printed the story which I found most shocking.

    Hope it helps…

Yeah I’d go with that, the blue ‘wavey’ under-belly is clearly visible as is a ‘Thomas Cook’ sticker to the right of the forward cabin door!!!

    RE: How safe is Cubana?

I think some of the posts regarding this subject are kinda stupid and silly. Its quite simple, if Cubana weren’t safe they wouldn’t be operating! The aircraft might b old and they might send a few shivvers up your spine but just think of it as being a ‘unique’ and ‘antique’ civil aviation experience.

    RE: Bugger it then!

How about everyone just having a picture of the week?
Less confusing than all ## of us posting everyday and more interesting having different pics from people spread over the week.

It could go in alphabetical order or something…

Those with names from A-D post on Monday, E-H on Tuesday, I-L on Wednesday, M-P on Thursday, Q-T on Friday, U-V on Saturday and W-Z on Sunday.

Its sad and kinda pathetic i know but its my suggestion..

having a tow-bar suggests to me that is used to train ground-handlers…. not too sure though!

Another guess would be fire training or aircraft familiarisation…

    blah blah 🙂

U get my drift, Im sure…

RE: JMC Newcastle – Corfu Summr 2002

I doubt it will be an A320 – neither Caledonian or Flying Colours operated A320 flights from newcastle to Corfu in the past so I very much doubt the new airline, which is a combination of both plus another two, will use diffeent equipement on that route.

I dont know why but people seem to either gang up on people or blow things out of all proportion. Its my only negative ‘constructive’ criticism,
