By the way, you havve made these similar short statements before on threads 🙂
Yes he has, and this one is just as stupid. Precisely why i dont post (or even visit here) all that often now. The place still rocks, despite the presence of some…
looks great!!!
wish we had this bird instead of the based 737-400 @ NCL this summer!
I always thought their stake would get bigger and bigger!
Some of the comments made by some are rather harsh, but if I may offer a piece of advice.
E-Mail Newcastle Management and advise them of these problems.
Whilst NCL is no longer a great place to view a/c landside, you do get great views airside.
There are 2 airbridges at NCL, one as said, is used for BA’s LHR flights (A319/320/321) a/c, the other is used for charter flights and BA LHR flights (757 sized a/c and above).
So it’s not just the SNBA pax who would get wet on a rainy day.
I would think if it had been dry, you would have enjoyd walking to the a/c, unfortunately it was raining on the day of your flight though, but you can hardly call NCL “NCHell” when that was something outside of the airports control./However, you are indeed allowed your own opinion, and everyone should respect that, but I think you should perhaps try NCL a few more times before deciding whether it is worthy of being called “NCHell”. 🙂
yeah G-kirk, Am I right in thinking the airbridge used for charters tends to get used by TOM? Ive only ever seen their 752 and 767 aircraft on there and the 767’s we had from Excel last summer, nothing else!?
Am I right in thinking the T3 Jetstream is an ex-american eagle bird?
never noticed it at newcastle before…
Thanks Luke 🙂
MANAIRPORTMAD, I’m picking people up from T1 arrivals on Wednesday morning and wouldnt mind picking up a few pics. There seem to be ok-ish views from the shortstay carpark, do you know if there’ll be any problems me taking phoots from the roof/spectator terrace?
cheers

from with-in the terminal but not from a cafe.
LGKR
The area isnt out of bounds to those travelling through the airport ‘heslop’ and no it wasnt taken from a cafe.
That same aircraft *i think* down the PFO-NCL return too, yeah.
‘the LS6175 to Lyon is a charter flight’
Presumably replacing the Thompson flight normally operated by a 757
the LS service ran alongside the TOM one for quite a few weeks… not sure if this is still the case though..
think it was an A321… not too sure as i was a fair distance back!
departed on time,
LGKR
cheers mate i should really buff up on my planes if im gonna be working in the industry plus ive only been into the commercial side for few months
what are you going to be doing?
Im sure the maintenance guys and the passengers arnt!!! lol
anyone know how flyjet are doing punctuality wise these days?
As an ex employee of Air Wales todays news was very sad if not unexpected.
Speaking to ex-collegues, ALL flying will cease from the 23rd April , and all of the ATR’s will be returned to their lessors.
No freight or charter work to be carried out. That apparently is just a smokescreen to lessen the blow. 🙁
sorry to hear it, i was in a similar boat two years back just stay positive and hopefully one of the airlines in question in terms of taking over the new routes will have something going at CWL for most of you.
LGKR
this isnt a new route.
Arnt Eastern taking over the route following the Air Wales decision to cease flying scheduled flights?
LGKR
then why have some things running to end of October and not others?
the NCL – BFS loads always seem very high, particuarly the 20:00ish departure. Anyone know how flybe does on the NCL-BHD runs?
