Thank you! Taken by NSF photogapher Martin Bunaes.
They are now both safely at Sola Airshow. NSF have their own video guy on site filming the event. What Martin does with photos, Knut can do with videos. Stay tuned!

RR232 (RAB PV181) and The Shark left Kjeller for Sola today! Sola Airshow coming up this weekend! (Photos: NSF)

Some TLC in Sweden before heading to Norway for the Sola Airshow and NSF event Spitfire RAB to Kjeller on 18 June

At 2055 last evening, Spitfire RAB flew over the barn in the southwestern part of the town of Eelde where Wing Commander Rolf Arne Berg was shot down and killed in February of 1945. Accompanied by P-51 Mustang «The Shark», we did a missing man formation. (photo via Lars Ness and Eskil Amdal, pilots in Spitfire RAB and The Shark)

Norwegian Spitfire Foundation will paint Spitfire Mk IX RR232 in Norwegian Wing Commander Rolf Arne Bergs personal camo. A scheme Berg used only for a couple or more days during WWII. The Norwegian flag on wings and rudder was not to RAFs taste and approval. Rolf Arne Berg was the Wing Commander of 132 Wing during 1944-1945 and had his initials RAB on the Spitfire. He got his wings at Kjeller Aerodrome pre-WWII. Spitfire RAB will arrive to Kjeller together with NSF operated aircraft P-51 Mustang The Shark and the Norseman 18 June 2017.
Same here, with the risks to historic aviation and airshows being what they are (in the wake of Shoreham particularly) seeing warbirds fly at all (especially in the numbers that FL provides) is a thing to be cherished.

Completely right. A remake doesn’t reduce any existing historical 1950s value at all. Im 35, I watched it about a decade ago and thought it was quite rubbish. The acting is horrible.
Edgar was the first to step up when I asked for help with the translation of what would become Viking Spitfire.
Thank you once again Edgar. Very sorry you had to leave us like this.
Blue skies.

Get well, Edgar
