Flew it yesterday. It’s a very small version, so the flight characteristics are quite easy. Very light. The plan is to get a 1.5m wingspan one by summer.

Weather wise it was far from good, with strong winds. Flew it anyway. It acted superbly in high speeds even with the winds.

Come to realize I’m more interested in the type of airplane I’m flying, and who/what it represents rather than the specs and skills needed to fly the things.

Apologies for bringing up an old thread, but any chance of more of these events in 2011? Last years Gathering was IMHO a massive success

I always take the train from Stansted direct to Cambridge and then the airshow bus from the Cambridge train station. If you wanna do that one and make sure you make it back to Stansted, splash out on a taxi on your way back to Cambridge.
