Yes and its all ok.
Never bothered me and often not hearing anything at all.
The number of people who died will be surpassed by ‘everyday’ road casualties by the end of today, nobody will launch a huge investigation into those and conclude that anyone driving over 30mph has to pass an advanced driving test.
Moggy
The argument is valid of course, but it seems to be culturally accepted that road accidents and deaths while driving occours. Remarkable how people react differently to accident scenarios.
Someone mentioned that a degree of flaps are usually out on the Hunter for displays?
If he’s still alive from a crash like that its nothing but a mircale.
I just spoke to him via e-mail. He’s under no illusions, but he’s trying anyway. Hats off to him.

Log-in attempts to my account
A few weeks ago I had five log-in attempts to my account. The person (machine) involved was blocked from attempting further, and I got an e-mail as a warning.
I changed my password due to this. I tracked the IP to the States on this occation.
Today, I got another e-mail about five attempted log-ins. This IP could not be traced as it was via a Proxy server.
Anyone else get these log-in attempts?

Absolutely 100% agree. I have attended for three years (my first in 2013) and that year I nearly didn’t bother coming back again.
Look, I go to an airshow to see and HEAR the aircraft. When 12 Spitfires take off I want to try and see/hear what it must have been like so many years ago on an airfield like this.
But what do we get…..BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, JABBER, JABBER, JABBER, INANE WAFFLE…..and a few interesting facts.
In 2014 the french guy wasn’t there and low and behold the commentator said ‘I’ll be quiet now so we can hear these wonderful engines”…..and he did it again and again and it was great!
This year, here we go again…..BLAH, BLAH, BLAH….inane banter and a few facts.
Look, how hard can it be.
“Next to appear we have the Mustang approaching from the left”…..aircraft race over field, engines screaming, crowd in admiration. As they pull away “the P-51 was originally built with an Alinson engine but shortly after the Rols Royce merlin was fitted and from that day on it became an exceptional fighter aircraft”……aircraft race across the field……..”used as a long range escorts for Bombers, they were affectionately known as ‘little friends’ by their charges and often stayed with a badly damaged bomber as they fell behind the main group and we’re liable to be picked off by the enemy looking for easy targets”……aircraft over and around the field……etc, etc.
I go to an airshow to hear the aircraft as-well as see them and it seems this particular commentator thinks he is the star of the show……it’s just bloody frustrating and I wish his tenure was up!
Anyway, here is some video I shot at the show and using a directional microphone I managed to nullify him somewhat, but even watching this clips (22 mins total) you can hear rabbiting on when he really shouldn’t, especially the Blenheim flyby!
Really enjoyed the show again, re-enactor, aircraft lineup, meeting old friends. Apart from the BLAH, BLAH…..it was a great show as always π
Cheers, MP
PS…..and yes he mentioned the ashtray story π
Go somewhere else. Where I’m standing I hear nothing from the commentators.’
Anyway, anyone happen to have any photos/video of The Shark from its Thursday practise display shortly after 6pm? Could you get in touch with me at toridar@norwegianspitfire.com?
I have a sneaky feeling this is a wild goose chase
Thanks for the replies. It doesn’t look like the Norwegian pilot was right concerning this museum. Perhaps he means another museum in the Be-Ne-Lux area.
Regardless, I can’t fathom why all conclusions of N3′ going to the IWM involve it being grounded?
Speaking of this, the Norwegian air force museum at BodΓΈ and their collegues will soon have a flying aircraft in their midst; a Norseman. Operated by the Norwegian Spitfire Foundation.
There’s one up for auction on 20th May.
Why not see what it goes for?
Will def keep an eye on that one!
